"One year Honor Roll, and the next year all D's, on and off again." Said principal Rust. "What is going on with you, young lady?"
"I don't understand it either sir. It's like my brain can't figure it out." Dahlia stated.
"Well you better find out soon. You know how this world works. Good or Bad, choose one, and make it quick. Colleges are already looking at our students."
"Yes sir." She said knowing that this was a promise that wouldn't be kept. All of her life she had known that she was different, and faking ignorance was as easy as breathing to her. There was a storm brewing, she could feel it in her bones, and the storm would start with her. Dahlia had been making a plan to get away from this horrible place since second grade. Even then she could tell. There were two types in her society, the goody-two-shoes all A 8:30 bedtime kids, and the wild school-skipping rule-breaking bad kids. The fact that she was neither didn't bother her at all. In fact, it just made her whole plan to tear apart society that much more satisfying.
