Chapter ten

***

The blackness viouslty thins, the veil slowly ravishing away to reveal a white ridden land. Spikes of ice dilute across my vision and I suddenly snap upright as the chill of ice creeps deep into my bones. My bare hands crack deep with-in the snow, and with a small framsly white gown of silk that I am adorned in, I soon begin to quiver in the sharp blistering winds that seems to suddenly ripe before me.

I look around at the haunting sight. The white sheets of frozen sand, the blossoms of snow pelting at me. The harsh crashes of the diluted green sea. The sky a moody grey greets my confusion at a pull myself upright and begin to slowly walk backwards into the labyrinth of nothing.

A hand suddenly claws at my ankle, pulling a shred of skin with sharp nails. I look down to see a tiny creature hanging limply of my leg, deep-set golden eyes pleading up at me. I feel the jitters of cold in hid body and immediately find myself crouching down to awe at the cute alien.

"Hellpp madamme. Please heelp." he shivers, his hands gripping tightly onto my legs to keep himself upright.

"What? What's happened" I slightly breath back, taking his tiny hand that seems to be trying to catch mine.

"Please. Come and help me" he says, pulling me forward with little force. I chase beside him as he leads me around a cliff face adorned in thousands of crying crystals.

The cliff rounders and soon I head a small whimper of a child.

"She's so ill. Please, help." The small goblin cries.

He leads me into a cave cut in a mouth of many in the cliff.

Darkness surrounds me but soon replaces by a sudden blinding light. And in front of me lays a smaller, petite monster of the one that grips my hand.

The grey body is twisted and rummaged into a curved shape and whimpers of displeasurement greets the air. The shape bobbles with a intense grudge of pain. Blood spills from beneath the heap, it soaking the floor and spilling into dark corners.

I fall to my knees beside the baby, gently moving my fingers towards her. As my fingers come into contact with the rough, doughty skin her body jitters and slumps slowly and hurtfully towards me. It climbs into my lap and huffles in short breaths.

"Shhhee likees you!" Says the older creature. "Please hellpp her?"

I look down at the girl in my arms and my whole body pangs in a scent of adoration.

"What's happened?" I say, tracing the lines of red hair sprouting from the top of the little aliens head.

"She fell on tthe icceeespells. Shee landded on aa shaaarp iccemaaster. Hee wasn't pleaaseed." He replies, plonking himself beside me.

My curiously wells in my mind but I push it deep into the depths of my mind and slowly relieve the limbs from my body to get a better look at the injuries.

Three tears seeping lousy red blood lays cut into her stomach, them frozen slightly with a edge of crusty ice.

"Have you got any soft fabric that I can use sir?" I ask the father.

"Yeeesss. I haaave a ttuuunniccc. Andd you ccaaan calll mee Critterious."

He walks into the deep set of the cave and returns beholding a large fabric of edging, knotted cotton. In my hand it inches and fabracates my skin. I turn away from the creatures and peel the silk gown what I wear and replace it with the rough garment.

Tearing the silk to shreds I tightly tie it around the body of the creature, blocking the path for the blood and for infections to crawl into the grazes.

"Thank you" she whispers, crawling into my hand and placing her small head on my shoulder. Small water drops splashed against my skin, and I cuddle tightly inwards to the girl.

"My name is Anneable." She cries.

I nod my head acknowledgingly and turn my eyes towards the front of the cave just in time to see a distant stump figure in the light press something into his skin and crumble to the floor. From instinct I know it's Critterious. That for ever reason, I am now the adorned parent of this little baby creature.
