"BRITT! BRITT! Baby please hang in there!"
The air was getting cold and so was my girlfriend. I held her body close to me as tears streamed down. My Cheerio hoodie covered in her blood.
"S-San"
I looked into her blue eyes and started to cry. I don't want her to leave. Not now. Not ever. We were suppose to get married in two months.
"S-San I-I'm sorry w-wha-"
"Shh doesn't matter any more baby. I forgive you. I know you said it out of anger."
" I l-love you S-Santana"
I watched as her eyes began to close. Her body laid still and not a sound came from her. My eyes opened wide as I watched my girlfriend take her last breath.
" No no no NO!!!! BRITT WAKE UP!!!! PLEASE WAKE UP!!!! YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME RIGHT NOW!! "
I picked her up and carried her onto the bench we always sat on. I prayed this was all a nightmare - a nightmare that will end soon and I will wake up to her in my arms smiling. That bright smile and blue eyes staring at me.
" I love you Brittany. To infinity. "
Time seemed to go by very slowly. My body felt numb as I rocked her in my arms. Gently playing with her hair as I sang to her.
And the songbirds are singing, like they know the score.
And I love you, I love you, I love you, like never before.
" San! San! Come on. You have to let her go. The ambulance is here."
I felt a hand reach for Brittany.
" No! Don't touch her, she's mine! Go away!"
" San, you know Britt wouldn't want you to be like this. Come on San let her go. Let's get you some sleep. You can stay at my place."
They took her lifeless body away and Quinn quickly held me tight. I cried my eyes out as she carried me to her car. I looked behind us as they zipped her body up, carrying her into the truck. She's gone. The love of my life. My better half. Gone.
