Calissa's POV

I stop my car dead in my drive way. My dark green eyes reflected the flames coming from my house. It was all gone. The firefighters had pulled up and were trying to put out the fire as I sat numbly in my car.
A figure walked up to my car, tapping on the window, making me jump a foot in the air. I tear my eyes from the fire, opening the door to the uniformed officer standing before me.
"Hello ma'am. This is your house correct?" He asks with a slight upper east accent. I nod stiffly, my mind racing.
"I'm sorry ma'am. I don't think there's anything left of it. Is there anyone we could call for you?" I shake my head slowly, knowing I had to tell my bosses there was no way I could go to work tomorrow. I took out my phone and dialed Matt's number.
"Hello?" His voice is deep and husky, like he had been sleeping.
"I'm sorry...did I wake you?" I bite my lip then freeze as I hear a girly giggle. Oh shit! He is with a girl.
"Who is that?" I hear Lucas ask in the back ground. I panic and hang up, staring at my phone in shock.

Matt's POV

"Damn!" I stare at the dead phone, ignoring the blonde girl who was trying valiantly to get my attention.
"It was Cali. I don't know what she needed she hung up." I was about to say more when my phone beeped with a text. It was from her.
Cali~ Hey sorry I didn't mean to interrupt but I have a small problem with my living arrangements and I won't be able to make it to work for the next two days..
          Matt~ Cali baby what's wrong???
I frown at my phone when she doesn't reply. I toss my phone at Lucas and let him read it while I get up and start getting dressed.
"Wait, where are you going?" The blonde pouts and I roll my eyes as I put on my socks and shoes.
"Sorry. We have to go." Lucas says shortly, already finished changing. We leave her house and I get into the drivers seat of the convertible. Lucas drums his fingers on the dash as I drive. We pull up to her house in total shock as we see nothing but black ash and firemen. Lucas is out in a flash, calling out for Cali. I get out and follow him, spotting her car. I grab his shoulder and point over to it. He nods and we head over. She has her head on her steering wheel, her beautiful blonde hair fanning out around her. My heart pounds faster as I looked at her. She's so beautiful it makes my heart hurt. Lucas taps softly on the window and she jumps, turning to open the door. She opens the door and frowns at us.
"Matt? Lucas? What are you guys doing here" Her voice is so soft and beautiful. My hands ache to touch her so I clench them into fists and stuff them in my pockets.
"You hung up on me so I got worried. Then you sent me that text....I had to see if you were alright." I said gruffly, Lucas nods and begins to pace, staring at the remains of her house.
"Come on. Let's take your mind off of this for a while. Let's go to dinner." I urge her to say yes, wanting to make her feel a little better. She looks down at her outfit and I tilt her chin back up and shake my head, smiling gently. She shrugs and gets out of her car, following me and Lucas to ours. She goes to the back seat and Lucas stops her, putting her up front with me. I roll my eyes at him but go to the drivers seat and start the car.

Calissa's POV

I sigh and play with the end of my skirt, peeking over at Matt through my eye lashes. He was staring straight at the road as he drove, one hand laying loosely in his lap. I could hear Lucas tapping away on his phone behind me. I sigh again causing Matt to glance over.
"Are you okay Cali?" His deep voice causes me to jump slightly.
"Yes I'm fine thanks. Just thinking." I smile slightly before turning to look out the window, wondering what I was going to do now. I had nothing, no clothes, no house, no food. Just my car and the little bit of money I've saved up working for them.
We pulled up in front of a diner and Matt cut the engine. Before I could even get my seat belt off Lucas had gotten out and opened my door for me, a playful smirk on his face. He starts to reach for me but stops when he hears Matt speak.
"Come on you two, I'm starving." Matt says before Lucas could do anything. He pouts for a moment but sends me a wicked grin which meant he wasn't done with me yet. I get out of the car and follow them inside. We sit down at a booth in the back, all of us on one side, me in the middle. I look at the menu and decide on getting a sweet tea for the drink. A small brunette walks up with a tiny smile on her face, her eye lashes fluttering as she looked at us.
"Hello, how can I help you?" Her voice is small and squeaky, like a mouse. Her eyes stay fixated on the boys, showing her interest all too well. I roll my eyes and clear my throat.
"I'll have a sweet tea." I smile icily at her. She has the audacity to wink at me sending my teeth grounding against each other. The boys both ordered waters and leaned back against the booth.
"So Cali...." Lucas starts with an unsure look on his face. I frown, not used to this side of him.
"What's wrong Lucas?" I ask quietly, my eyes showing my concern, my fingers twisting in my hands. He places a hand over mine and I blush lightly.
"Nothing is wrong....I just wanted to ask you something. Would you mind staying at our house for the next month, at least until you find a place to live?" His eyes are full of hope and something else I couldn't quite read, I turn to Matt who is smiling easily at me.
"A-are you sure? I don't want to be a bother." I hesitate, knowing they are going to have more partners with them over the course of time. Lucas nods excitedly.
"We could watch movies and eat candy all night!" I couldn't help but laugh at him. He gave me a fake pout.
"Your so childish sometimes." I say to him causing Matt to laugh.
"Of course I will stay with you guys. But only until I get a place." I said with a smile. Lucas hollers and grabs my hands while Matt just smiles happily. The rest of the night went great. They took me to their house and I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillows.
