Draconia P.O.V

My name is Draconia Arachne Foxglove, I grew up being the oldest and spent most of my life protecting my younger siblings. I grew up in a hospital my whole life, I was not allowed to step foot out of the hospital since of how sick I was. It was like a cage. A cage I didn't even know I was in until I grew up and learn all of the neat things that were out in the world. Everyone that I have ever seen where doctors, sick children and their parents. My sibling got to go to real school he would tell me about all of the kids, books, computers, and music that was taught in school. I'm now fourteen years old, and finally get to go to a real school. A school filled with children that I don't have to worry if I get to see them tomorrow or not for that they have died. I get to see colors, feel the grass on my feet, and get taught by a real teacher that doesn't need to check my fluids in my IV. I can't wait, my mother thinks that I should just finish school in the hospital where I'm safe. But, I'm done being in my cage, I want to be set free. And if I want to go to college, I need to go to a real school so I know what I should expect. I can't wait!

I walk into the building of what will be my brother's High School in three years. I see people whispering about something. I stood by the front doors and just looked around it was so nice to see another color but white. When a girl comes up to me. "Who are you?" A pretty girl with long brown hair and a cute summer dress.

Maybe this is what my brother was talking about when he was explaining how you make friends. "Hi, my name is Draconia, I'm new here what your name?" I ask with I hope is a warm smile and my hand out.

"Aw, and you think your so cute? You sound like a five year old. And by the way you want to survive your three years here, you will stay out of my way got it Draco?" The girl says.

"I'm sorry, but I don't understand. And my name is Draconia not Draco, Draco is a boy name and also the nickname of my brother." I say still smiling.

"I rule this school you five year old freak, and if you wish not to smell like a garbage can every day I would stop dressing like that!" The girl yells.

"I don't understand, this was a gift, I don't have normal clothes like this if you are worry about that. You are so pretty, you have nothing to worry about." I tell her.

"Oh a gift for what being a freak? Trust me I'm sure you always were one." She hiss. I don't understand why she so mean.

"No, not for that, how about I just go around you, I really don't want any trouble." I tell her trying to move around her when I see that there is three other girls standing on one side and two other girls on the other side. "I'm sorry, I upset you but I really don't want trouble on my first day of real school. So please let's just let me go pass you and I promise to leave you alone." I tell her with a sympathetic look.

"Oh so you live in a cage for your whole life you might want to crawl back into it!" She smirks. My face falls, why does she hate me so? I didn't do anything but walk into the school.

"What this I heard about crawling back into the hole you came from? It's about damn time." A girl in all black smirks at the girl in the summer dress, or I at least think it was to her.

"Not me, freak!" The girl in front of me hisses at the girl in all black. She must of thought so too.

"Well, you should. Also leave her alone unless if you wish to deal with me. And we both know that you don't want that!" The girl in all black hisses.

The mean girl glares at me. "You're safe, for now!" She hisses at me then all six of them march away from me. The girl in all black comes up to me and smiles. I back away a little.
