a new life a new wolf

After a week we were now in summer ville,Sc.

I kept Katherine close to me as we stepped off the plane. I looked around to see an old woman holding a sign that said Jennastilya and Katherine verse.

Wow let everyone know we're here, I thought to myself.

*don't talk back to me young lady. You're going to be living under my roof. Now get your asses over here and give your grandma a hug* her voice went from mean to nice in 0.5 seconds.

"Come on Katherine." I whispered walking towards the woman.

The old woman had silver hair and was skinny. She was short.

"Hi." I said looking down. In my pack if you were near an elder, old person, you were to have no eye contact with them.

"Look up, stupid girl. You are no longer apart of that horrible pack. If you ask me I'm kinda glad that that so called Alpha is dead" she nudged my arm and winked. "Come on you two. Grandpa Joe isn't going to be waiting long. He might drive off on us. Then we'll be stuck running home."

*god can she talk* I heard Katherine think. I tried to hold back a laugh but failed miserably.

"Is there something funny?" We shook our heads. She smiled and kept walking.

When we got outside I saw a rusty red truck. A man of about 72 was in the driver seat. He had a giant smile on his face when he saw us. Grandma to be correct. You could tell they were mates.

"Well get in young ladies" he said with a smile.

"Hank you know I'm not young." Grandma said shaking her head.

"In my eyes you're forever young."

Even I thought that was cute.

"I'm sorry honey but you'll be riding in the back." The old man said to me. I didn't argue so I just jumped in the back.

I was fine with riding on the back until I saw the dogs.

There were three. A black short one, a white fat one, and a brown tall one. The black one reminded me of my moms wolf, the white reminded me of my brothers.wolf, and the brown one reminded me of my wolf.

They took one look at me and howled on the top of their lungs. I saw Katherine and grandma laugh.

Great a 17 year old girl has 3 wolf boyfriends. I groaned when one nudged my arm.

After 4 hours and 2 flat tires we were finally at "home". I refuse to call it home since I believe I've only been here 2 other times. Once when I was 1 and when I was 4.

A growl escaped my lips when I heard something in the house. I starred at the door as it opened.

Then I heard it. The stupid sound I always hated.

A squeal echoed through the woods that surrounded us.

"No!" I screamed dropping my bags.

Cousin Sandy came running out arms held wide. Her blonde pig tails bouncing as she ran. Her little legs moving a hundred miles per hour. She embraced me in a huge hug.

"Hi Sandy." I said.

"Omg! Jenny! How's it going? It's been so long. Tell me have you found your mate? I have he's totally hot!" She kept talking.

"Shut up!" I looked down to see Katherine said that. Yup raised her well.

"Oh well. Um...when did you get here? I've been wondering when you would show up. I guess I should take you to get enrolled in school huh?" More talking.

"I said shut up! Listen for once instead of talking!" Okay even though this was really funny to watch I can't help but feel sorry for Sandy when Katherine was in one of her 'moods'.

I smacked Katherine in the back of the head.

*no. This ur cousin, respect her. I let it slide the first time do it again and ill do more then smack you* I thought to her.

"Aww you just want attention." Sandy grabbed Katherine and hugged her. That's new I thought.

*help me* Katherine thought to me.

*sorry kid you're on your own.*

After Sandy let Katherine go she asked, "Is this home?"

"No." I looked down when I said this.

"Oh." I could tell it hurt Katherine that we had no home. "And ma...ma...mama?" She choked out the last word. Tears swelling up in her eyes.

"She's in a safer place Katherine. She's with the big guy." I tried to be strong for her. But its kinda hard to do that when your 9 year old sister is balling her eyes out. I let a few tears eacape. But never again will I look weak in front of Katherine, I told myself.

That night Katherine fell asleep in my bed.

I tip toed outside. The cold air hit me like a ton of bricks. I cried like baby.

I looked up at the sky and said, "I love you mama. I miss you. Why did you leave? How could you leave me?" I yelled tears running down my face. "Why? Why?!" I screamed.

"Jennastilya? What's wrong?" Grandma walked next to me.

"I miss her." I sobbed. I put my head on her shoulder.

"So do I. So do I." She whispered hugging me tighter and tighter. I went to my room and soon fell asleep
