You were done with student council activities for the day and headed off to the music room. The music teacher had asked for you to stop by for an important news. You made it out the educational buildings and into the music building. As you entered, the teacher was working on a piece. She stopped and greeted you.
"(L/N)-san!" Mrs. Hanagami smiled brightly. She got up and grabbed two folders nearby.
"Since the annual music concert is coming, I was hoping you and Kasamatsu-san could do this piece I came up with," she handed the folder with music sheets inside to you. "Of course, that's if you want to do it."
You looked through the music sheets and nodded, "It would be fun!"
Mrs. Hanagami jumped with a little bit of excitement, "Kasamatsu-san already agreed, but we will have to meet up on weekends because he has basketball club activities during the weekdays."
"Um, can I ask who Kasamatsu-san is?" you questioned. The music teacher chuckled and nodded, "He's 3rd year Class A, Kasamatsu Yukio. He specializes in the guitar and is also the captain of the boys' basketball team."
"Oh..." you nodded taking the information in.
"Since you're on your way out could you drop off the music sheet for him in the gymnasium?" Mrs. Hanagami asked. You nodded and took his folder. You bid goodbye to the music teacher and left out of the building. You headed down the hall and towards the gymnasium. You could hear the shouting of the coach and the squeaks of the shoes from the opened door. You held the folder tight and took a breath. You were a bit curious wondering what Kasamatsu-san looked like. As you entered, your eyes glanced the huge room. There were so many guys drenched in sweat and practicing hard. Just exactly whoch one was him.
"How many times do I have to tell you that your fans can't come to practice, Kise?!" you heard a shout from the court and followed your gaze to it. A tall blonde was knocked over and a shorter black hair had his hands to his waist.
"Oi! Kasamatsu-senpai!~" the blonde was caressing his back from the pain. He got up and headed towards you with a sad smile, "I'm sorry, but I already promise to Kasamatsu-senpai that I can't have my fans watch me during practice~."
You shook your head and glanced at the short black hair male on the court who was glaring at you and Kise.
"I-I'm actually here for Kasamatsu-san," you replied. Kise widened his eyes and quickly turned around, "Kasamatsu-senpai! She's not my fan! She's yours!"
You widened your eyes and quickly shook your head in denial, "N-no! I-I'm here to-"
But before you could finish your sentence Kise had run off to drag Kasamatsu towards you. His colds eye looked straight into yours and it felt like your soul has left your body.
"H-hello, I'm actually here to give you this folder from Mrs. Hanagami," you said handing him the folder with his name on it. Kasamatsu took it and noticed the music sheets inside. His face seemed to soften and his eyes became a bit warmer.
"Ah this must be for the music concert?" he asked. You nodded and bowed, "Sorry for interrupting your basketball practice!"
He shook his head, "I-It's okay, thank you for delivering this to me."
You nodded and bowed one more time, "I will be looking forward to working with you Kasamatsu-san, goodbye."
You bid goodbye to the two before exiting the gymnasium. Your heart was beating fast from all that had happened. Just what an embarrassing way to meet Kasamatsu-san. You shook your head and left the school grounds and hoped that the following practice days with him would go well.○○○
As you head to school the following days, Kise had seem to noticed you more from the crowd ever since you encounter at the gymnasium. He waved and smile as you shyly nod and continue on to class. This continued on and the weekend was finally here. The practice was schedule to be around 9am on Sunday at Mrs. Hanagami's house till 11am. You were up and ready by 8am and headed with the directions that she told you. With the notes in your bag, and a nervous smile on your face, you were ready to start the first practice. It wasn't long before you reached the music teacher's house. You pressed the doorbell and her daughter opened.
"Hello! You must be (L/N)-san?" a smile was on her face. You nodded and smiled back. The door was open wider so you can enter. You took off your shoes and noticed a pair of white running shoes. You looked up to see Kasamatsu sitting by the grand piano with his guitar in his hand.
"Hello (L/N)-san," he slightly bowed. You bowed and greeted him back before heading towardd the piano.
"Where's Mrs. Hanagami?" you asked. He pointed upstairs, "She went looking for something in her room."
"Ohh...," you nodded and sat down by the piano. It became silent after that and the tension became awkward.
"Did you look over the piece?" you asked to ease up the mood. Kasamatsu nodded and played the first couple of notes on his guitar. You were amazed by his skill although it was only a second that you heard. The music teacher came back down and smiled greeting you. You nodded and greeted her back before getting up and letting her sit down.
"Let's prep your voice first (L/N)-san," she said and opened up the covers to her piano. She played the keys and you warmed up your voice. Kasamatsu watch from the side and found your voice to be very lovely. He was so into your warm-up that he didn't even realized you were done. Embarrassed he pretended to be ficing the strings to his guitar and hide his red cheeks. The practice started and the two of you worked hard together finishing up the 1st verse. As the practices went by, you began to grow closer to Kasamatsu. The two of you would sometimes coincidentally end up walking to Mrs. Hanagami's house together and back. With that time together, you learned more about him as he did about you. He would complain about how annoying Kise is everyday yet compliments his skills. You on the other hand would talk about how hectic being in the student council was but also very fun and enjoyable. It was long before the annual music concert was held. The gymnasium was decorated and tables were put up. Many performers had gone through and Kasamatsu was waiting behind the stage alone. He was worried about what happened and tried to call you but you didn't pick up. It was suppose to be your turn next but no sign of you was shown. He walked back and forth with his guitar in his hand. His heart dropped when he heard the audience clap and the performers on the stage bowing.
"Where are you (L/N)-san?" he glanced at his phone. Of all days you had to be late, it had to be today. The stage manager came by and tilted his head, "(L/N)-san is still not here?"
Kasamatsu looked at the back door and then back at the stage manager.
"We'll just have to skip-"
"Kasamatsu-san!" he heard your voice. Kasamatsu quickly turned to where it came from and his eyes widened. You were in a beautiful long white dress and your hair was put up in a nice bun with a shining hair piece. You were out of breath as you headed towards him. You held your chest and bowed, "I'm sorry!"
Without a second he grabbed your hand and the two of you headed to the side curtains.
"You can explain why you're late after," he said as his hand never left yours. "Let's show our classes our master piece."
You looked at him and your cheeks were heating up. You slowly bodded your head and once your names were called out, the two of you headed on stage forgetting that your hands were still together. You were given a microphone, as Kasamatsu took a seat next to another microphone stand for his guitar. The two of you looked at each other and nodded. Kasamatsu's fingers began picking on the strings of his guitar as it let out a beautiful sound. You took a small breath and began singing. You voice flowed perfectly with the notes on the guitar and from afar Mrs. Hanagami was in tears at the master piece. Although the piece was just 3 minutes long, on stage the two of you felt like it was hours. When it came to an end, the whole room was in awed and cheered happily for the both of you. Kasamatsu got up and headed towards you. The two of you held hands and bowed to the crowd one last time before heading off the stage.
"It looked like we did great out there," you chuckled as the two of you headed back to the music room. He nodded his head, "You sounded beautiful, so I'm sure everyone was in awed."
"A-ah you were amazing too Kasamatsu-san!" you said looking at him. "Because of you I was able to sing well."
Hearing that Kasamatsu's heart skipped a beat and he turned his face to the side to hide his red tinted cheeks.
"A-anyways," he spoke trying to change the subject. "Why were you late?"
"Ahh, about that...," you replied and trailed off. The two of you reached the music room and you opened the door.
"I was late because I went to buy a cake," you awkwardly laughed and entered the room.
"A cake?" he questioned and followed after you. You headed to the desk where you placed the box of cake and opened it. Your hand picked up the cake from the box and headed towards Kasamatsu.
"It's for you," you smiled showing him the cake. He widened his eyes and looked at you in disbelief.
"W-why?" he asked. You softly chuckled at him, "Well it's a congratulations we did great cake."
"Oh," he laughed and took the cake from your hand.
"And it's also because I had fun and was able to do this piece with you," you added. Kasamatsu looked at you and you did the same back. Both of you locked eyes before glancing away in redness.
"Thank you (L/N)-san," he softly smiled and stared at the cake decorated with fruits. You nodded and went to grab your bag, ready to go change out of the dress but Kasamatsu stopped you.
"Next week..." he started off. "Can you come watch Kaijo's basketball game?"
You smiled brightly and nodded, "Of course!"
"A-and..." he trailed off. You looked at him and waited for him to continued.
"You looked really beautiful today."
Your heart began racing again at his sentence. You slowly nodded and gave him a gentle smile, "Thank you Kasamatsu-san."
"I wished we could be together longer," the words suddenly slipped from his mouth. He widened his eyes and quickly tried to cover himself up. "But of course we have to go back to our club activities."
You laughed, "I would want that too. To be together longer~"○○○
