The sunlight crept into your room as your eye lids slowly open. The sound of your alarm could be heard clearly now as you become fully awake. Your hand reached to turn off the alarm and you sat up. With a smile on your face you headed to get ready. It was a big day for you and you had to prepared. With your makeup completed and hairstyle done, your mother helped you get into your white gown. You grabbed your bag and slipped on some matching heels before leaving the house. Your father who was dressed in a nice black suit was waiting for you. You gave him a soft smile and nodded.
"We wouldn't want to keep them waiting now should we?" you mentioned. He nodded and helped you into the car. After closing the door for you, he headed for the driver's seat. He glanced at your mother who sat in the passenger seat and with a heavy heart she nodded. He started the car and drove towards the destination.

Many people had already arrived at the church excited to see the two main couple of the day. You were on time and made your way towards the front door. Greeted from his parents, you smiled back and was escourted to a room. Standing behind the big door was the groom. With a shaking hand you knocked. From behind the door you could hear the familiar voice you loved the most.
"Come in," he said. You did as told and opened the door. He was busy fixing his tie that he had not realized you were standing beside him.
"Takao, how many guests are here already?" he asked still having troubles with his green tie.
"A lot," you replied and chuckled. Hearing your voice, he immediately froze and turned his head. Both your eyes met and his jaw almost dropped.
"(F/N)," he said your name and his whole body was now facing you.
"You look amazing Shintarou," you smiled, "That's if you can get that tie together."
"A-ah, you know I'm not good with ties," Midorima changed his gaze to somewhere else and cleared his throat. You headed towards him and your hands grabbed his tie. With the work of your hands, the tie was perfectly tied around his neck in no time. You adjusted it and straightened his suit out.
"Now she'll definitely want to marry you," you laughed with a heavy heart. "She's a lucky girl."
"(F/N)..." Midorima mumbled. You glanced away and held back your tears before anything could come out. He wanted to reach out to you but for some reason it felt as though you couldn't get into his grasp.
"I'm sorry," the words came out of his mouth. "I'm really sorry (F/N)."
The pain that he held in for so long slowly devoured him again as small tears strolled down his face. He broked down before you did and that surprised you.
"I never meant for this to happen," he walked towards you. "Please don't hate me."
You stared at the tall slim man before you dressed in a black silky suit with a green tie and shook your head.
"I don't hate you Shintarou," your eyes began to be filled with tears. "I never did. Things happen and maybe...maybe we just weren't meant to be."
Your hands traveled to his cheeks and wiped away the remaining tear stains on his cheeks.
"Now where's the smile I missed the most?" you asked resisting to let your tears fall. Midorima hung his head and forced a smile. It was slanted at first but knowing how you were he gave you his genuine smile you had loved. You forced a chuckle and gave him a last tight hug.
"Now go make a happy ending you won't regret," you whispered backing away. His eyes were filled with guilt and both of you knew that after today all ties were going to be cut between you and him. You pat his back and with a heavy heart you spoke the words he never wanted to hear, "Goodbye, Shintarou."

You left the room as Takao entered telling him it was time. You headed into the church and sat at the back row. Midorima stood tall patiently waiting and beside him was Takao smiling brightly as usual. It wasn't long before the door opened and the beautiful figure of the bride entered. Everyone stood and watched her being escourted towards Midorima. In those split seconds, the memories of you and Midorima flashed through your mind. Tears were falling without you noticing and shocked you wiped them away. It was when they placed the rings on each others fingers when you exited the church. What is done is done and nothing will ever be able to bring it back. Moments happen fast and without noticing the love you and Midorima had became lost and was never found. Although you had promised to stay by his side forever, the walls that were built between you and him never came down. Something that felt so easy became something impossible to do.
