I woke up to the smell of medical equipment. I was on a hospital bed. I didn't know why, I didn't know how long I was knocked out, and I didn't know where I am. I didn't see Julian either.

Just as a person talking on the phone entered the room, I took the precaution of pretending to be asleep.

" Yes. John is already here. No, he is still asleep. The bio-necrotizing bacteria weren't effective. Abort all procedure with the fauna too. Yes. Yes, I'll have to dispatch them. Humanity should have never seen our failed experiments. Yes. Prepare for the tunnel, a few hours after. "

The conversation on the phone wasn't promising.

The next thing I saw was darkness. I fainted, yet again.

I still don't know where Julian is. At least I had the knowledge of what the creatures were. They seemed to be biological weapons.

Just as I imagined things getting better, I woke up. And there I was. Sitting alone in the void.

The vast void of the tunnel I came from.
