CHAPTER 5

The evening air was as calm as it could be, blowing so gently to prove that night was nearby
Derek walked into Sammy's room holding a short sexy leather dress "baby let's get funky tonight"
He said as his voice alone expressed the happiness he felt that he didn't loose the love of his life
Sammy reluctantly agreed, it was quote difficult to say no actually with the way Derek persuaded her
The only thing he wanted that night was to go down town and show everyone his girl
He knew he didn't deserve her but all the love they felt towards each other was much more than anything else
Samantha didn't want to wear the killer gown, she hated attention and she knew going in that dress would only bring her so much attention
She didn't want all eyes on her, she wanted only Derek's eyes on her
Samantha changed into a simpler     cloth, she wore a crop top and mini skirt
When she got downstairs where Derek was waiting for her, she saw the displeasing look on his face but he said nothing
What she wore didn't matter as far as they are going to have fun
On their way to the club, Sammy saw a side of Derek she had never seen. He was so jovial, lively and filled with so much happiness
Samantha assured herself that the night was going to be good. A lot of time she had assured herself that a particular date would turn out to be the very best but most times, they usually end very badly
The aura Sammy had for this very date was different, she could feel the love lingering around them
Samantha thought she shouldn't hope for a better future with Derek. A lot of times, he had promised her that things would turn out just fine but usually everything between them has always been rocky and full of false hopes
Yet she wanted to be with him forever
"We are here" Derek pulled over, his excitement grew stronger
"Let's go in there and party all the way, take loads of selfies and post on instagram" he screamed so he could get the attention of everyone around them
"I wanna show the world that you are and will always be mine" he kissed her on her forehead
Samantha couldn't hide the surprise that was written all over her face
Samantha sat patiently waiting for Derek to come back with their bottle of champagne
Five minutes passed and he wasn't back, Sammy didn't want to get paranoid "its just five minutes she said"
Then fifteen minutes passed and Derek wasn't back
She went to the bathroom to put on some makeup, they had left in a hurry and she didn't have the time to wear makeup earlier on
Thirty minutes passed and Derek still wasn't back
Sammy began to worry for his safety, she really hoped he wasn't in some sort of trouble
Her worries immediately turned to fury when a message entered
It was a pic of Derek and a stripper in a club, apparently it was the same club they were in
Samantha stood there for few minutes, she didn't know whether to cry or scream or just walk out and never come back
She walked round the club hoping to find them and she did
She watched as the stripper gave Derek a sexy lap dance
Out of disgust, she finally screamed
"D-E-R-E-K H-A-R-O-L-D, you would always be a phony. This time, i'm leaving never to return
Derek chased after Samantha but she was to fast for him
"I love you sammy" he screamed out but she totally ignored him
"If you love her, you would respect her baby bear" the stripper said and "tsked"
Derek knew so well that she was right. He didn't know why he always hurt Sammy but he promised himself that moment that he would keep striving to be a better person
Sammy wasn't sure if she was doing the right thing but the pain was too much for her to bear
Dave had promised to always be there for her and that moment she needed him
He opened the door to see who had come to see him at this late hour
"Sammy" he sad looking surprised
