Mino and I have been texting constantly. My friends, especially Jackson, would always catch me laughing and smiling at my phone. "Hey, hello!! I'm here, Sam." Jackson said, sounding annoyed. We were the only ones eating dinner in the house together. Jackson thought it was good though because we haven't really had much time to really hang out lately. They've been busy promoting their new album. "Didn't you miss me??" He teased. I put my phone on silent and placed it on the table before replying to him, "Of course! I had no one to argue with." I said, sarcastically. Heard my phone beep again and I couldn't help but check the message, even if Jackson had just called me out.
"Oh my gosh!! Mino just invited me to watch SMTM!" I squealed. Oops... I probably shouldn't have said that with the cameras on. My manager is gonna kill me if it starts dating rumors. It's a good thing Jackson and are close with one of the junior PDs, I can just tell him not to include it in the show.
Jackson grabbed my phone then put it in his pocket. "Congratulations, but no phones when you're with me from now on." He said. "Come on. Give it back." I whined. He knew I was serious cause I started to speak in English, even with the cameras around. "I'm serious too." He replied. As much as I want to hate Jackson for acting that way, I couldn't cause I knew he had a reason for it. I was being a bad friend. I let him keep my phone just so I can change the topic right away. I told him about training and how hard it's been for me. Training has been exhausting. I've been constantly getting scolded for not doing my best. 'Do you really want this?', 'I know you can do can do better than that', that's what they always say. And I can't deny it, I really haven't been doing my best lately. Maybe it's because I've been so distracted with Mino and it's like I forgot what I came here for. "That's why agencies don't allow trainees to have relationships. You're lucky you get to keep your phone! During our time we weren't allowed to have phones." Jackson said.
"Man, that's so sad. But you know, it's not just that. It's like I'm starting to doubt whether this is all worth it. Do I really want to live that kind of life?" I explained.
"Ofcourse you do! You wouldn't have come here in the first place, if you didn't. Imagine making that decision to leave your family and friends. We made that decision, and we can't just allow that to be for nothing. Right?"
"Wow, you always know what to say, Jackson." I laughed to lighten up the mood.
I was so honored to meet Mino's family. He asked me to stay with them before and during the show. Mino's sister, Dana, was so friendly and even if she was a little more reserved than I was, we still got along so well. She was a year older than me and had been training to be an idol as well.
"Dana, you watch out for her, okay?" Mino requested before leaving to rehearse.
"Yeah. We'll wait for Omma and Appa in Caffe Bene." She answered then grabbed my hand. "Do you like bingsu?"
"I love bingsu!" We headed to Caffe Bene across the building and waited for their parents. It was a bit awkward at first, to be honest. But I slowly started to warm up when she asked me about being a trainee because she was able to relate with all my stories. A few minutes later, their parents finally arrived. It was their first time watching Mino live in SMTM too.
"Oh, really?"
"Yeah, cause we still work and he actually doesn't like it when we come to watch his shows." His mom laughed.
"That's why I was so surprised when he invited me last week." His dad added.
"Maybe the song is for you guys." I smiled.
"How about you, do you see your parents often?"
"Oh no. I'm from the Philippines and I came here alone. They've only visited once. But it's fine cause they're busy as well." I never really invited my parents because, although I miss them, I didn't want to bother them cause I knew they were busy. And the next time they see me, I really want it to be the day I debut.
"Oh, I see." Mr. Song replied.
We talked a little bit more until it was almost time for the show to start.
"Come on, Sam! Let's get seats! The show's about to start!" Dana insisted.
SONG MINO!!
Mino got all of us tearing up with his emotional performance. Hearing this somg made me realize how weak I am to think about giving up when I'm just at the beginning. Mino went through so much but he never gave up. Dana was crying the hardest. She was mentioned quite a few times in the song. It seemed like she really looked up to her brother and he was always watching out for her.Mino immediately went it for a hug with their parents as soon as we entered his dressing room. "Did they tell you anything embarrassing about me??" He asked while giving me a hug. "You bastard! You got all of us crying!!" I told him.
"We might have..." Dana teased. Mino glared at her then gave her a hug.

Mino invited me to dinner but since we can't really be seen going out together, he invited Dana. We figured the only way we can go out is if people think I'm Dana's close friend. Lucky for us, Dana agreed to the plan. We even took photos together to post on Instagram and made it seem like we were really close."Oppa, where are we going?" She asked. She also invited 2 of her real friends so we're less obvious.

"You haven't been hanging out with us lately." YoungJi pouted. Jackson, who was all the way in the kitchen, heard what she said and suddenly butted in. "She's too busy with Mino. Even Mino's too busy to hang out with me." He hopped on the sofa and sat beside me. I glared at him. "Come on, it's only for a while. I'll make it up to you guys. Let's go out today!" I suggested."Let's just stay here, being with you is enough." YoungJi said, making me giggle. "
We decide to watch Train To Busan in our living room. Mino was still texting me so I really couldn't focus. I didn't think YoungJi and Jackson would mind though cause they were too busy watching the film.
"Hey! Stop texting." Jackson suddenly commanded.
I was wrong.
"Why?? What's wrong with me texting??"
Jackson is getting on my nerves. He's been so concerned with the pettiest things lately. Last night, he kept on bugging me because he saw my photo with Mino and Dana on instagram and I didn't tell him before it happened."It's not like I'm bothering you. You looked so focused watching the movie!" I continued.
"Well, I wasn't! YoungJi, she was being distracting, right?" UGH! He even wanted someone to back him up.
"No. Not really." YoungJi replied. Jackson obviously just wanted to shame me for not watching the movie. I was so pissed that I stopped talking to him the whole day. I would've walked out right then but I didn't want to leave Youngji and make it awkward for her.
I told Mino about what happened between me and Jackson since they know each other better and he said I should be more patient with him. To be honest though, I don't wanna deal with Jackson yet cause I'm still annoyed. I don't feel like talking to him yet. Call me childish but with all the stress coming from training, I badly need a break. Having him bother me every time just adds to the stress.
