We leave the cinema at around 9, to go and grab something to eat. We choose Pizza Hut as its the closest to the cinema, we get seated and grab some menus.
"What are you getting May?" Nash asks,
"Double Chicken and Pepperoni, you?" I reply,
"That's my favourite..." he reply's, he gives me a smile then looks back down at his menu
I can't help but feel butterflies when Nash smiles at me, I mean I've only known him for not even one day but i already feel like i'm falling for him.
We get our food and eat quickly, because I need to be home in an hour, Nash glances at me all the way through our meal, making me feel self conscious.
Nash pays for our bill and Mags drives us home, but runs in her house to tell her mum shes dropping us off.
I sit alone in the car with Nash, fumbling with my hands as I feel super awkward,
"So....did you enjoy the movie?" he asks
"Yeah it was good.." I start "what was that in there Nash?" I questions,
"To be honest May, I like you. I've seen you around school so many times and always wanted to ask you if you wanted to hang out with us, but never had the courage to.. im sorry I should've invited you sooner, everyone loves you already especially Mags, shes so happy that there's another girl in our group, shes been the only girl for a while and shes super excited that you're around now. I hope you dont think I'm strange by saying this but.... I think I'm falling for you May." He whispers the last sentence, as I feel his warm breath on my neck.
"I don't know what to say Nash, I mean I havent even known you for a day!" I reply quickly "I mean you could be a serial killer for all I know" I laugh,
"Well, go on a date with me tomorrow, then we can both get to know each other better" he says bravely.
"Fine" I roll my eyes, so I don't seem too eager but deep down inside I feel like im about to burst.
Mags comes back and hops into the car, we both sit there wih expressionless faces, as if nothing happened,
"What...." She says sarcastically
"Nothing" we reply in unison, I look up at Nash to see him already looking at me, I blush and look away,
We arrive back at my house and thank them both for an amazing night. I open the door and tiptoe across the hallway so my mum doesn't hear. Thankfully shes asleep infront of the tv, so I grab a blanket and wrap it round her, I turn the tv which causes her to stir, but she stays asleep. I knew as soon as she was awake she'd be on my case about where I was tonight, so I creep upstairs, makind sure to dodge all the creaks in the floorboads, and put my phone on charge. It takes a minute to load up, but I see a number I don't recognise,
'Hey, it's Nash. Ill pick you up around 6 for our date tomorrow, dont ask where we're going, it's a surprise. -N'
I get butterflies when I read his text, but then I have a panic. What am I gonna wear?
