I text Mags as soon as I wake up the next morning,
Hey Mags, it's May, Nash asked me if I would go on a date with him today. So I was wondering if you could help me with my outfit, if its not any trouble or anything, thanks. -M xx
She texts back almost immediately saying,
Omf, yes of course! Ill meet you after school and we'll go straight to yours. I have some amazing heels that'll look amazing on you. And I'm not taking no for an answer ;) see you later -ML xx
I put my phone to one side and jump in the shower, massage my hair with some expensive shampoo my father bought me, I get dressed in black skinny jeans and an old jumper, I don't bother with my hair as I'll probably be doing something with it later, so I throw on a grey beanie, leaving it to air dry. I slip on my converse and head out.
I pass my mum in the kitchen, I try to slip past but her head flips round, as if I was an unwanted presence.
"Where the fuck where you last night, and don't you dare try and lie to me." She screams
"I was out with friends, we went to watch a movie and grab something to eat, calm dowm mum." I say calmly
"LIES, what were you really up to huh? Taking drugs? Shacking up with some stranger? Tell me the truth May, or I swear to god..." she snaps
"Whoaa its the truth mum, I was with Mahogany and Nash. It was fine, I didnt take any drugs, I didnt have sex with anyone. I dont see why you're so worked up over nothing" I respond
"Okay, im sorry May I didnt mean to snap at you, I just worried about where you were, its not like you to stay out so late." she whimpers back to me
She pulls me into a hug, and kisses my forehead,
"I'll be out again tonight mum, my new friends are really nice." I say, muffled by my mums sweater in my mouth
"That's fine darling, I'll see you after school"
I arrive at school in no time and go straight to my first lesson, Maths.
The day goes quicker than expected, and soon enough its the end of the day. I meet Mags at my locker and she drives me to my place, to get ready for tonight.
I'm really excited about tonight, this will be my first ever date, so I dont know what to expect. Will he want to kiss me?
I decide not to worry, and just have a good night with Nash. We pull up at my house and step into my porch. I fiddle with the lock, until I find the door is already open....
