Midori's P.O.V.
I had been used as a Shinki before, but that had been years ago. I no longer had a name. I remembered how it was that I died, though. I was only sixteen when it happened, and I could remember how much my death had meant to those around me. I had committed suicide after my best friend got killed by a robber.
"You!" A voice snapped. "Come with me! Vaisravana wishes to meet you!"
The Shinki Dealer grabbed my arm and dragged me outside. He shoved me to the ground, and I looked up at the woman in front of me.
"What does it do?" She asked.
"To hell if I know. I just got the damn thing." The Dealer answered.
"What do you do, Girl?" The woman asked me.
I stayed silent. She moved to take a step closer, so I jumped to my feet. I held two fingers up and slashed the air in front of me. The woman jumped into the air and scowled.
"How dare you use a boundary against a God!" She growled.
"Why the hell should I trust you? The last God I worked for abandoned me! She said I was useless!" I hissed.
"So it speaks?" The Dealer smirked.
I yowled like an animal and sent a boundary line at him. He easily dodged it.
"You will serve under me. Your name shall be Mido." The woman said, drawing a kanji in the air. "Your vessel name shall be Sychen. You person name will be Midori. I am your God. My name is Vaisravana."
The Kanji disappeared, and another in front of me. It attached itself to me at the base of my neck, and I growled. I suddenly couldn't remember anything about my human life.
"Sycki." Vaisravana hissed.
My Kanji glowed, and I turned into a bracelet. I appeared on her wrist, and I growled when she started fiddling with me.
"Enough, you Hag! I'm not some toy!" I barked.
"You shouldn't speak to Veena like that. She's our master." An older male voice said.
Several others appeared in the Shinki realm. It was where the Shinki's human spirit form stood while in weapon or item form.
"What is it you do, Midori?" Vaisravana asked.
"I can locate any Ayakashi around here as long as they are within a ten mile radius of you, Veena-sama." I hissed out her name.
"Prove it."
I sighed and focused all of my energy on my location ability. The closest Ayakashi just happened to be standing beside us.
"The Dealer! He's corrupted!" I yelled.
Veena-sama immediately unraveled a whip. She snapped the whip at the Dealer, and he screamed in agony. His Blight appeared on his face and arms.
"So what if I'm corrupted? I don't own any Shinki, so it's not like I'm hurting anyone!" He laughed.
"Veena-sama! Please let me go!" I begged.
"Mido!" Veena-sama yelled.
I reverted to my human spirit form and immediately drew a boundary between me and the Dealer.
"You will not hurt my Master." I growled.
The Dealer laughed and ran toward me. I held my hand out, facing my palm toward him, and the boundary started glowing. As soon as he collided with it, it wrapped around him and turned into a chain like object.
"Restraint." I muttered.
Veena-sama dashed around my and cracked her whip at the Dealer. He screamed and fell to the ground after I freed him. He stopped moving after a few minutes.
"Mido-chan! You did it!"
"Midori-chan!"
"Mido-chan!"
Veena-sama called out the names of her weapons, and several people stood in front of me. I tilted my head when a boy with brown hair and green eyes with glasses walked up to me.
"Let me introduce myself. My name is Kazuma, and I am the Lead Shinki for Veena-sama." He said.
"Sakura...." I whispered.
"Hm?" He tiled his head.
"You're that Sakura earring Veena-sama was wearing."
"And what gave that away?"
I caught his left wrist and ran my thumb over the back of his hand.
"Kazu." I said the Japanese reading of his Kanji. "Veena-sama's earring disappeared after she said 'Kazu', and you appeared right after."
