Chapter Six - [Like A Cloud in Your View Blocking All of Your Light]

Ashlyn's POV

I felt like someone had just stabbed me in the heart. Behind Alli, There was Sara and Cody on the couch, and he was kissing her. I quickly turned around to Alli so I wouldn't see them. Alli "coughed", and they quickly pulled away from each other. I turned around and saw Cody staring at me, and Sara giving me the stink eye. I said hey, not getting a reply back Sara, and me and Alli went up stairs. I plopped down on her bed and sighed.

"I'm sorry about that. I had no idea she was going to be here." Alli said knowing I don't like Sara.

"Don't worry about it." I was feeling Jealous, and I don't know why. I kept on questioning myself why Cody had not told me anything about him and Sara. "I didn't know they were talking."

"I didn't either....I figured he would've told you."

"Nope."

"Soooo, I heard you broke up with Nate?" She said. "Way to go girl!" I laughed and nodded. I was in shock, and I really had nothing to say. "Okay, Ash, you're never this quiet whats up?"

"Nothing." I lied, looking a the door. She caught me.

"Is it Cody?" She sat down next me, and I didn't answer. "It is Cody. Do you like him?"

"Maybe....I don't know!" I put my head in my hands. " Its just, yesterday we had a great time, and I just had this weird feeling - a good, weird feeling - the whole time we were together, and I've never felt like that before. Then, when I saw them on the couch, I -" I laid back. "UGH. I don't know what to think right now."

"Do you want me to talk to him?"

"NO!" I sighed. "No, just not about how I'm feeling at least. I don't wanna ruin anything. Just...just see if they're like official and let me know. I wanna know what my boundaries are."

She nodded and we went back downstairs, to find only Cody. I told them I had some things to do, and left.

Allis POV

Ash left so I shut the door behind her, then turned around to Cody.

"What is wrong with you?"

"What do you mean, Alli?"

"Why were you sharing spit with Sara?!" He ignored my question, and sat on the couch. "Cody, I thought you liked Ashlyn? Thats all I've heard for months now, 'Ashlyn this and Ashlyn that'. And then when you finally might have a chance to be with her, you go back to the girl that cheated on you!"

"Well, it doesn't matter now does it? She doesn't like me the same way I like her! I heard her say it herself last night." He sighed. "And I know you don't like Sara, and neither does Ashlyn, but that doesn't matter. You should be happy if you brothers happy, Alli. I'm happy with Sara."

"Are you gonna be happy when you hurt or lose your best friend?" Cody's expression changed when I said that. "Yeah, chew on that Cody." With that, I went upstairs.

I texted Ashlyn and told her they were offically together only getting and 'Ok, thanks.' in return. I sighed, knowing this probably wasn't going to end well. Cody likes Ashlyn, and he still does even if he's with Sara, and he knows it. So, if Ash likes him, then she's gonna get hurt, and get hurt bad.
