The chill of the night ran down his bare back. The window at the top of the ceiling caused some of the moonlight to give some light in this room, yet not enough to remove the shadows and reveal the faces behind it. They looked around the room observing each pairs of eyes that seemed to glow in the dark, showing the evil in them.

"Is that him yeah?" A deep voice rumbled causing everyone in the room to look to where the voice came from. As everyone turned to face the voice they created a sort of path causing the moonlight to reflect of an object. The black Levi jeans becoming more visible along with the black suede Puma trainers that he wore. The moonlight only made parts of the bottom half of the person to show, but the light did reflect off a shiny object. His ring shone brightly back as it gold tiger face showed its identity. He felt the shiver creep across his body and they instantly knew it wasn't because of the wind.

"Yes boss" One of them replied. The boss chuckled and took a step forward. They eyes scanned the face of the boss as they took a step forward. The body on the follow tried to get into a position that will allow them to fight if necessary but this action alone caused the boss to laugh. They tried to remember why the boss looked so familiar but different at the same time. They racked their mind trying to put a name to the face then they realised who stood in front of them. They had seen them so many times yet had not realised the importance and the amount of power the boss had got. They had heard stories describing the boss but this description looks farfetched as they looked at their face. Why did they want them? The room remained silent before the boss spoke.

"Follow me" His voice smooth and calm yet behind it you could sense the authority and the fear that was asserted with it. No one in their right mind would ignore it. Instantly, the body on the floor stood up and followed the boss out of the room...

College had managed to drag on but what my mum had said to me in the morning stuck to my mum

"Make me proud". I think that was the only reason I was still here. The teachers were seriously annoying me. I hate when people underestimate me and I always make sure that I prove them wrong. However, when it's like the whole members of staff are doing the same thing... I just can't hack it no more. I remained quiet in all my lessons for the first time. I just kept my head down and did all the work that was required to me. As much as I don't like it here, I really cannot see myself repeating another year.

"Shauney" I looked behind me to see who was calling me because first of all no one besides mum calls me Shauney and she only does that when she is mad with me and secondly I didn't recognise the voice. I saw it was a girl who I actually haven't seen before well so I think

"Who are you?"

"Rude much?" I looked up and down and bite my tongue to stop me from saying something that would actually be rude.

"I just wanted to introduce myself. I see you walking around college and since you have a class with me I thought we could get to know each other. Plus you were so quiet in the class. You never spoke once. You feeling alright" I looked at her face trying to see if she was being serious. I guess she was.

"Erm... yeah I’m fine thanks... What's your name by the way?"

"Chante" I nodded

"Well I've got to go but I'll see you around" I winked at her causing her to slightly giggle. Hmm I don't know what to think about her. I mean, I like she is upfront but don't know.

"Shauney how was college?” She placed her bag on the centre table in the kitchen as she headed to the sink to wash her hands.

“It was fine. Teachers are annoying me though?”

“Why? What are they doing?”

“They all think I’m going to fail. I hear it in their sly comments.” She looked back at me and raised her eyebrows are me

“Well we’ll show them you are going to pass init. If you need help then you know where to come” I nodded

“Where is Junior?” I shrugged I actually haven’t seen him the whole day. He wasn’t at college either

“I don’t know” She kissed her teeth.

“Him and this disappearing act. I’ve told you guys to make sure at least one person in this house knows where you are at all times. What is so hard about picking up your phone and calling or texting someone your location? If it was for him to have sex with some random girl he will reply to her message faster anything in this world” She carried on her rant as she picked up her phone and called him.

“Straight to voicemail” I started to feel concerned. He never switched off his phone

“Try again”

“I did, same thing” I pulled out my phone and called his second phone. It began ringing then someone answered it

“Thank God, Junior where are you?”

“Oi Shaun you listening. Someone napped me. I’m in a warehouse in some random location”

“What did you see on the way there?”

“A petrol station and some run down houses. It is like no one lived in this area for a long time.” I quickly scribbled down his description

“Anything else?”

“It pulls off from the motorway. Look I have to go, they are coming” He cut off before I could reply

“What’s wrong Shauney?? Speak to me”

“Someone took Junior” She looked at me and soon dropped on the floor in tears

“I thought we were free from this” I cradled her

“I thought the same too” I picked her up and took her to her room.

“Stay here. I’m going to go look for him”

“Call the police” I snorted

“I’ll be fine” She nodded and cover herself with her blanket. I could hear her sniffling as I walked down the stairs. I made a silent prayer as I began to find answers about what happened to Strapz. Everything was going so good for once, but I should have known it couldn’t have lasted. At times my life feels like a game of snakes and ladders. It’s like I finally got to the top but then I landed on the snake that caused me to fall all the way to the bottom. But I had to find Strapz. Then we can start rebuilding our lives again. This life is wearing me out. I want a fresh start.
