•Ryan's PoV•
"Hi Lily, Bella." A scrawny, long haired boy said tentatively as we approached him in the corridor.
Lily kept walking, head held high, not even bothering to look at the pleading look on the boy's face. Bella however took the time to shoot a death glare at him as we passed. I looked at the two questioningly, wondering how such nice girls could be so rude.
"Who was that?" I asked once we were out of earshot.
"Severus Snape." Bella answered with a venomous tone.
"What did he do to you?" I asked, taken aback by her apparent hatred for the boy.
"He called Lily a mudblood last spring!" She exclaimed, clearly furious as we stepped into the kitchen.
I could tell her exclamation had an effect on Lily as she stiffened and her eyes were filled with sadness.
"Can we just have the usual?" Lily said, usually quiet.
"That's awful!" I gasped, putting a hand over my mouth in disbelief.
"And to make it worse, they were best friends!" Bella continued.
"Surely he couldn't have meant it then!" I objected slightly, if they really were best friends he couldn't have possibly said it and meant it. Right?
"He claims he didn't." She said responded, looking at me curiously.
Before our conversation could turn into a rather nasty argument the house elf Lily had talked to arrived with our snacks; hot chocolate and a variety of crêpes.
When I saw the French treat I gasped.
"J'adore crêpes!" I exclaimed, forgetting all about the previous conversation.
"There's Nutella and banana, strawberries and cream, chocolate and strawberries, and chocolate and banana." Lily said, pointing to each as she said what it contained.
"We should take these to go, I know Marlene and Alice will want some." Bella said, causing the elf to carefully place the crêpes in a container.
I took the container from the elf with a sincere thank you and the three of us exited the kitchen.
The corridor was nearly the opposite of how we left it. It was crowded with people all either jeering or cheering at the group in the center.
"What's this about?" I mumbled, handing the box to Lily and deciding to find out.
I pushed my way through the thick crowd, earning some glares from my schoolmates. When I finally reached the center I was appalled. I caught my twins eyes from across the circle as he stood by Peter, my eyes filled with shock and disgust.
"What in Merlin's bloody beard do you think you're doing?!" I shouted, stepping into the spaced occupied by the three boys.
James and Sirius turned around, their disbelief that someone was trying to intervene evident in their facial expressions.
"Well, Ryan, we were just trying to teach Snivellus here a lesson." Black said, gesturing to Severus Snape as he spoke.
"Oh, and what lesson is that? How to be the world's biggest prats because I think that's the only lesson you're both qualified to teach." I said angrily.
