"Ryan!" The messy haired boy shouted, coming from behind me as I crouched behind a suit of armor. "Do you know who's it?"
It was Saturday and James and Sirius had come up with the idea of playing tag in the castle. We had been playing for about a half hour now and I had formed a game plan.
"I think it's..." I pretended to ponder as I stood from my hiding spot.
"You!" I shrieked, tagging him and sprinting down the corridor.
"THIS MEANS WAR!" I heard him shout from behind me.
I forced myself to go faster, knowing he could out run me, but if I timed it right I might be able to make it.
I grinned as the window seat came into my view, it faltered as I noticed the curtain was pulled back and there was a couple snogging in the seat.
"Merde." I cursed under my breath as I was forced to keep running.
I ran faster as a covered window came in to view, preparing to dive into it. And I did just that when I got close enough, however I wasn't planning on there being a person in it.
"Ry-" I splapped my hand over his mouth, hoping James hadn't heard.
I waited to remove it until I heard him run pass.
"Ryan?!" My twin whisper shouted at me.
"Great minds think alike?" I said with a half smile.
"Just, get off." He said, shoving me playfully. "You're not light as a feather you know."
"Yeah well at least I'm not as heavy as you." I muttered as I moved so that I was sitting next to him not on him.
"What was that?" He asked, a smirk on his face.
"I said, you should be quiet so we don't get caught." I replied.
"Whatever." He mumbled.
I smirked triumphantly. However, it was wiped right off my face as the curtain hiding us was ripped open.
"You know, I agree with you Ryan, but it was too little too late." The boy said, a smug smile on his face.
"Sacré bleu." I cursed, lunging out of the way as he reached out to tag me, causing me to tumble out of the window seat.
I quickly stood and grinned at James.
"You know Potter, your hearing might be good but your reflexes need a little work." I taunted before turning on me heel and running back down the corridor.
I ran until I was out of breath and then kept on running, determined to outrun either of the boys.
I could no longer hear the heavy footsteps behind me and I thought I was safe so I began to slow down. I had stopped to take a short breather when I was yanked into a nearby classroom causing a scream to escape me.
My scream was silenced by a hand being placed over my mouth.
'This is it.' I thought. 'They're going to kill me. I'll never get to say goodbye to my friends and family.'
