Josh awoke with a stir his eyes meeting the darkness that engulfed his room claiming it theirs every night.He slowly sat up blinking twice letting his eyes adjust to the darkness.He leaned against the wall sitting there for a minute listening to nothing the house was oddly quiet and he didn't know why but it unsettled him.He shook his head telling himself that he was just over thinking things.He slide back into his covers closing his eyes feeling himself falling into the brim of sleep but immdiently woke up when he heard a noise downstairs.He froze taking ahold of his cover praying that the intruder was an animal instead of a person Josh hated confrontation he would rather make peace than throw a punch.He turned around reaching into his drawer for his flashlight and immdiently turned it on slowly getting out of his bed walking into the dark hallway.Has Josh got closer to his kitchen he began to hear a slight snapping sound making his stomach twist in disgust.He slowly peeked into the kitchen and immdiently jumped back in horror at what he saw.It was it was well Josh didn't know what the hell that was but it wasn't human it looked like a naked man or a large hairless dog of some kind.It's body position was disturbing and unnatural to the point where Josh felt as if he was going to throw up at any second.Another snap got his attention he squinted his eyes getting a closer look to see that the creature was eating a deer sinking it's talon like claws into the dead carcass eating it's flesh like it was nothing.Josh opened his mouth to scream but immdiently closed it in fear that the thing would come after him.He slowly backed away making sure to stay as quiet as possible he was about to take another step but tripped over his foot hitting the floor with a loud thud.He froze ignoring the throbbing pain in the back of his head he awaited there in the dark for a few minutes.For a few seconds nothing happened he listened to the sweet sounds of nothing he let out a long breath and slumped his shoulders down guessing that the thing forgot about him.The thought of that was quickly dismissed when the thing suddenly appeared blood coated it's claws while bits of flesh hung from it's mouth.Josh stayed glued to the floor to scared of what to do next it wasn't until the thing took a step towards him that he regained his movement.He quickly got up running for his dear life he heard the thing screech and give chase .Tears began to swell in his eyes as he realized this might be the end.Just as he was about to lose hope he caught sight of his room and realized that he was getting closer towards it he smiled using the last of his energy to get inside of his room.He slammed his door shut quickly moving is drawer in front of his door.He jumped back when he heard the thing slam into his door he scaned his room looking for anything that he could use as protection he spotted his metal bat and quickly grabbed it and tryed to get a good grip on it but was hard to with his hands shaking uncontrollably.Another slam made him lose his grip on his bat sending it to the floor.Before he could bend down and pick it up another slam came but this time harder than before causing his drawer to fly across the room and his door to swing open.The creature slowly walked in walking on all fours Josh quickly grabbed his bat taking a swing at the creature but it did nothing the creature stayed there as if nothing happened Josh raised the bat to take another swing but was to late as the creature lunged towards him.The last thing Josh felt was the creature sinking it's claws into his abdomen and the last thing he saw was it's pitch black hollow eyes.
