I gripped the strap of my backpack scanning the college campus feeling the cool crisp air against my skin.I shook my head letting a sigh escape my lips. "where the hell are you" I looked at the ground putting my hands in my pockets letting another sigh escape my lips.I closed my eyes trying to think of something to pass the time.I quickly snapped them back open when I felt someone wrap their arm around my neck .I didn't need to turn around to know who it was a smile quickly spread across my face as I turned around and pulled her into a hug .

I hugged May even tighter when I heard the words long time.I haven't seen May in over four years and it hurt not having her around.The last time I saw May it was our last year in middle school.My parents told me that we would be moving and to make sure that I said my goodbyes to all of my friends.As you can imagine I was pissed being told that you were moving and leaving your best friend behind wasn't easy but there was nothing I could do about it so I just shut up and dealt with it.A few years later when I graduated from high school my parents gave me the choice of deciding the college I would go to.Without any hesitation I immediately said USF.Don't get the wrong idea my families not rich so the fact that I asked them to pay for something that was overly expensive that they couldn't afford made me feel like I was asking for to much and the guilt kind of ate away at me and if that wasn't bad enough the fact that I lived in Texas and the college I wanted to go to was in Tampa wasn't helping my situation either but I held onto the little hope I had left that I might go.I mean I know I can go they already sent me a letter telling me that I was excepted and that I had what it took to be in this college but as I said before my family isn't rich and the fact that I wanted to go to a college that was miles away didn't make their decision easy either.A couple months later my parents gave me the surprise of my life when they told me that they thought about it and told me that they decided that I can go to Usf I was filled with excitement and immediately ran up to my room throwing clothes and other stuff on my bed that I was going to put into my bag.I stopped when I felt something heavy grip my shoulder.I turned around to see that it was my dad he smiled as I turned around.I returned the favor smiling wide as I continued packing my bag but stopped again when I felt my dad grip my shoulder I turned around to look at him to see that he was shaking his head.
"Son I know your excited but school isn't until a couple of months so just take it easy ok"
I nodded my head has he was making his way out of my room but before he left he stopped and quickly said "you can still pack if you want just take it easy enjoy your break from school" and with that said he left.I sighed sitting down on my bed I guess I did get a little carried away.I'll pack my things tomorrow I said scratching the back of my head.I flopped down on my bed loving the warmth I got when I did so.I looked up at the ceiling and smiled I was actually going to the school of my dreams.I began to feel my eyelids grow heavy I slowly began to close them but was quickly brought out of my sleep when I heard my phone ring.I groaned but quickly smiled when I saw it was May.
