Why did it have to be Chaos?!

"What do you mean, "TURNED INTO MORTALS"?!?!" Hera, a goddess with curly brown hair plaited in gold and piercing hazel eyes, screeched in disbelief. Jez and Lynn clapped their hands over their ears, though it did little to block the sound.

"Yes. That's what I said. Now, Hera, please quiet down..." Apollo sighed, tugging frustratedly at his hair. Lynn rolled her eyes, and Jez left to grab herself another Mountain Dew. Hera was still screaming. The other gods were mostly in shock, but everyone knew that there would be chaos once they recovered. Lynn sighed and walked over to the window.

"Uhh... Jez? What time did you say it was...?" Lynn asked in concern.

"10:17. Why?" Jez asked, coming back into the room with a Dew in her hand.

"Well, I'm just saying, it's the end of spring/beginning of summer at 10:17 in the morning. And it's completely dark out." Lynn shrugged.

"WHAT?!" Jez and the other gods shouted. Apollo ran over to the window as well.

"It's because I'm not flying the chariot and I didn't get Helios to cover for me! Dang it!" He panicked. The sun god began to hyperventilate and fan his face as he walked back to the couch. He almost sat in Lynn's chair again until he noticed her death glare, then quickly switched seats. The other gods were gathered at a different window, staring outside in confusion.

"Is there a way to contact Helios? Do you have any communication with the gods?" Apollo rushed. Jez and Lynn looked at each other.

"Umm, not that I can think of. I mean, we could try and send a letter or see if Iris or Herm- wait, uhh just Iris could contact him for us but other that that, not really..." Jez sighed. Artemis walked over to the window.

"But shouldn't... Agh! How could I be so foolish?! I'm not flying the moon chariot! There's no moon in the sky either!" The Huntress groaned.

"If you idiots hadn't been avoiding your powers, we would have light and dark right now- not this butt ugly darkness." Snarled Jezabell with venom in her voice.

"Young lady, I think it would be wise of you to learn to hold your tongue!" Zeus said sternly, rising to his feet. His golden-red hair was combed back, but his outburst had caused some of the hairs to come loose and fall in his face. His frost blue eyes were filled with rage, burning against his average pale skin.

"What are you gonna do about it? You have no powers. I'm not loyal to you. The only person I actually have to be nice to here is Apollo, and I only have to do that because he's my boss. If you can't take the truth, then I suggest you get out of our house." Jez replied with a deadly voice.

"DO YOU DARE THREATEN THE KING OF THE GODS?!" Roared Zeus.

"Yeah, I do. Now get out of my house, and I'm not asking." Demanded Jez, rolling her eyes and crossing her arms. As Zeus furiously stormed to the door, Lynn got up and placed a hand on her sister's shoulder.

"Jez I think-" Lynn began, but she was interrupted.

"No Lynn. They are our "guests" and if they can't take the truth then they shouldn't be here. I'm not about to sugar coat the situation." Jez shrugged.

"Jez, I think you need to be somewhere else right now. Your patience is thin." Lynn said calmly.

"Fine. I'm going to Danny's. When you realize how ridiculous this is, call me. Until then leave me alone." Jez growled as she left the room to collect her things. As Jez stormed away, Apollo turned to Lynn.

"Shall we explain what's going on?" He asked.

"Wha...? Oh... uh, yeah, I suppose we should." She replied

"All right everyone listen up, and please don't interrupt until we're finished. Then we will answer all the questions that we can."

Once they had finished explaining everything, the Olympians began spouting questions all at once.

"One at a time, and please raise your hands. It makes things so much easier." Apollo sighed, frustrated and tired. Athena shot her hand into the air, obviously desperate to ask her question first.

"Yes Athena, what is your question?" Lynn asked, nodding at the goddess.

"I was wondering how long you think we'll be stuck here in this... lovely... home of yours?" she said flatly, glancing around the apartment in evident disgust.

"I believe we'll be here until we get our act together, sister. I suggest you drop your attitude and thank our gracious host for letting us stay here." Replied Apollo, glaring at Athena.

"Don't think for one second that you can tell me what to do, brother." Athena spat.

"THAT'S ENOUGH! THE NEXT PERSON TO MAKE A SNIDE REMARK IS OUT ON STREETS, GOT IT?!" yelled Lynn.

"Are there anymore questions?" asked Apollo, taking a deep breath.

"Yeah I got one." Ares chimed in. He was thin but muscular, and his eyes burned red, like fire reflecting off fresh blood. His messy brown hair went in all directions, and he had the beginnings of a beard on his chin. He was tan and scarred, especially on his arms and face. "Why now? And why did it have to be Chaos?"

"I believe it is because the world has reached such a lowly state that only we can help it. As to your second question,  if you care to remember, it was Chaos who gave us the right of godhood." Responded Apollo with a curt nod.

"How are you and your sister supposed to help us get back home?" Asked Hephaestus, turning to Lynn. His short, black hair was slicked back and he would've been rather pale if not for all the grease stains and ash. His eyes were the color of molten gold.

"Honestly, I don't know. But I think that our best bet is to teach you all how to be mortals and go from there." Said Lynn

"How do we begin?" Questioned Aphrodite. Her hair was blonde, but with a rose-ish tint. It was pulled up in an elegant bun on her head. Her skin was a perfect shade between pale and tan, and her eyes were pure, soft lilac colored.

"Probably by getting out of our godly attire." Apollo chuckled, rolling his eyes.

"Yeah, only one problem: we don't have mortal clothes." Hades muttered darkly. His appearance fit his personality; ragged black hair with a length that neared his chin, pale skin that looked like it hadn't seen the sun in ages. His eyes were as pure silver-pale as the full moon on a winter's night.

"We can help with that!" Called a voice from the door that made everyone jump. As they turned around, they saw Jez standing next to a boy, a little older than herself, with unruly black hair and pale skin.

"Who's the guy?" Asked Apollo curiously.

"I'm Jezabell's boyfriend, Danny. Who're you?" Stated Danny

"Hun... um, that's Apollo. One of my patrons, so please play nice." Jez whispered to Danny.

"Ooooohhh..." He cleared his throat. "Sorry sir. I didn't know... but... Uh, I have loads of clothes I can lend you guys. I'll go get them... I live just down the street... Be back in a flash." Danny stammered.

"He seems nice." Apollo mentioned as Danny left.

"Stop trying to be our dad. Man, it's weird..." Jez said with a look.

"I'm glad you came back so fast." Said Lynn

"Well, Dan talked some sense into me, I told him what was going on and we came over... and apparently  just in time."
