"ATHONY MARSON DAVIS JR. FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK. JUST TAKE IT SLOW, ANT. SLOW AND STEADY."
I was standing on the porch shouting at Anthony, watching him play around on his newly acquired Hoverboard. He kept moving it into the direction of the neighbourhood streets, moving so fast that my eyes could barely keep up.
I've had a vendetta against those things the first time I saw the commercial for it on TV, I've sworn to never ride one because it was a disaster waiting to happen. But Mr. I-can-do-anything decided to buy one when we were looking through the stores in downtown Chicago.
We were back home for the duration left of Ant's offseason, for the most part he has spent it on training and improving on the court. But now, he wanted to cool down and spend time with his family and friends, which he hadn't seen in which almost seemed like forever.
We were at the Davis' residence, which is the house Anthony has bought for his parents with his first pay check.
When our family moved to Chicago, we lived in a neighbourhood outside Chicago. It wasn't one of the safest nor one of the best neighbourhoods in town, gangs were housed in that area, drug busts occurring every other day, gunshots heard at least 2 times a day. But since our family was new and we didn't have a lot of cash on us, we had no choice but to stay there unless we wanted to sleep out on the streets. Beggars can't be choosers, as what some would say.
It was in that neighbourhood that I met Anthony, his family was also living in the area except theirs were more in the safer parts than ours. If we we're hanging out it's either in his house or in the library, our parents never let us stay out alone.
From then on, both of us promised that whatever happens we would vacate that area as soon as we can. The first chance we get, we'll leave that hell hole for good and bring our families with us. That was the pact that we had the day we met and we've stood by it ever since.
The first pay check my brother and I had, we bought our parents and brothers a new house in a more safer neighbourhood, where my brothers could experience being a child unlike us who were deprived of that sort. We didn't want our brothers to go through what we had, we wanted to give them a better life away from all that negativity.
Anthony followed suit and bought his parents a house, 2 houses down from my parent's new home. That is one of the main reason why my mom and Erainer are like bestfriends, who can't seem to be separated. Even my dad and Ant Sr. bond over sports and beer.
"Son, could you please listen to her. The poor girl's about to get a heart attack because of you." Anthony's dad, Anthony Sr. stood in the doorway looking at his son.
"She's too uptight, dad. She needs to chill." Ant said, still doing tricks on his hoverboard.
"I'll show you uptight you ass." I marched down the porch steps and strode towards where he was with the intent of giving him a piece of my mind. But he was too quick and moved away from me, as I chased him around. Getting tired of running around like a chicken without its head, I stood in the middle of the front yard, arms folded across my chest and my eyes narrowed at him.
Slowing down in front of me, he got off the hoverboard. "Chill woman, I was just joking. I don't know what's got your panties in a bunch. Want me to untangle them for you? Free of charge." He smirked down at me, wiggling his eyebrows.
"You wish you could get into these pants. Keep on dreaming." I huffed and turned my head to the side, I wasn't really mad at him. I was just playin.
"Oh, I dream about them every night. Want to be the ambassador for Make A Wish campaign and make my wish come true?" Placing his hands on my waist, he continued wiggling his eyebrows.
