*two weeks later*

I still walked past the letter everyday, wondering if I should open it or not. Today, like the other days, I walked past it, picking up my keys that sat next to the letter. I gazed at it. What's inside? I snatched the letter and put it in my book bag and walked out the front door and started my way to school, like the other days, I was starving. I was running low on the the money I found in dad's dresser. I had been living in my own for 2 weeks at 16, I couldn't do this anymore, I'm not even a legal adult, I'm gonna get caught soon, I know of it. It was snowing today, and my only jacket decided to make a huge hole in my shoulder. I tried covering it up with my backpack strap, but it didn't work at all. I finally neared the school, frost on the top of my nose. The bell rang, looks like I'll be late for class, again. Since I was already late for class, I took my time going up to the third floor. I finally got up there, opening he classroom door. All eyes turning on me. I looked down at my phone and changed the song that was playing through my earbuds. I ignored everyone and flopped down in an empty desk. For the first five minutes I was playing Angry Birds, till my phone got snatched out of my hands, along with my earbuds. I looked up to see Mr. Benson, my history teacher, holding everything in his hands.

"Um..ow." I said, rubbing my ears. His yanking of my earbuds hurt when they finally got ripped out.

"Brynn, the principals office, now." I smiled and grabbed my stuff and playfully ran out of the classroom. I walked down to the office like a normal person, cause maybe there was a new hot guys that was cute and we would both fall in love with each other and..BAM. I snapped out of my daze to see I ran into a wall of lockers. I also slammed my nose and I could feel it bleeding. Great. I jogged to the office and went into the health room. Maybe they will forget that I was supposed to go to the principal. I ran in and sat down.

"Oh dear." The nurse said when she saw me sit down. She thankfully stopped the bleeding, but it still hurt like hell. "What happened?" She asked.

"Started randomly bleeding." I said, quickly covering it up. The nurse turned around to grab something and I giggle at myself. I can't believe I ran into a wall of lockers.

"Brynn Sanders." Someone said, I looked up to see one of those annoying office ladies that sit at the front desk. "The Dean would like to see you now."

Okay so sorry the first chapter was kinda short and it's boring but I promise it will get better. Also two chapters today, wow. Go me. This book is kinda getting off slow, but I have some pretty exciting plans for it😏
