*Liberty's POV*

Since it was a weekday, my mom wouldn't be up until 7:30 and so I wanted to avoid her at all costs. It's not that I don't love her, but I don't want to have to deal with her bitchy attitude this early in the morning.

I sighed once again before sneaking down the stairs of our squished, untraditional Korean home and making my way into the small kitchen.

Reaching into the fridge, I grabbed a container of banana milk and chugged it down, not stopping to eat anything else. School had been keeping me busy these past few weeks because of the advanced schedule my teachers had me on, and all the work I had been doing had taken away my appetite.

I have always been a smart kid, but apparently I was much smarter than I thought. I graduated high school when I was 14, and was soon after accepted into one of the most prestigious universities in South Korea; Seoul National University.

I am only 18 but have already begun my last year of school; and my professors are already pushing me towards early graduation.

I am majoring in business, and am hoping to go into company management once I am done with school.

In fact, my business economics teacher is so fascinated with my future career choice that he has already started to help me look for internships at a few large businesses, and my favorites so far are the entertainment companies. I have always been drawn to the performing arts though, so for some reason that doesn't surprise me.

I threw my empty milk carton into the trash and pulled on my black and gray high-tops that were by the front door. Making sure that my books were secured safely in my arms, I opened the wooden door and picked up my umbrella.

"Bye, mom," I called softly before shutting the door behind me and stepping into the pouring rain.

As I started walking, the cold air was kind of refreshing as it whipped around me and turned my cheeks pink.  The piles of red and golden leaves that had collected in the gutters were now turning soggy, so I tried to avoid stepping in them.

Rain could be so beautiful sometimes, that is if it weren't 7:00 am and I wasn't walking to school.

My mind began to wander to what I had to look forward to for the rest of the month; there wasn't much really.

Oh, yeah!  I had tickets to go to a SHINee concert in a few weeks; I can't believe I almost forgot!

I grinned and started softly singing one of my favorite SHINee songs: Married to the Music.  It had only been released recently, but it was already one of my favorites.

I stopped humming when I realized that I had been so engrossed in my thoughts that I had made a wrong turn from my usual route.

Dammit.

Thankfully I still knew where I was, so I decided to take the back way to my school.

A cat sprinted across the sidewalk in front of me sopping wet and meowing loudly.

Poor thing.  I quickly noticed however that was a "poor thing" as well, seeing that I forgot my jacket at home.

Shiver. *Achoo* Shiver, shiver. Gosh darn it, I thought bitterly. If only I had worn some warmer clothes. *ACHOO!* Shoot, I hope I'm not catching a cold.

I trudged through the rain to my destination, my red, knit sweater and black skinny jeans doing almost nothing to keep me warm.

Why didn't I just take the bus?  I mentally slapped myself for thinking that it would be okay to walk in this weather, even if my campus was only 15 minutes away from my house.
