9:56 pm.
It had been hours since I arrived with the boys at their, uh, I mean our dorm, and I was really exhausted. Standing up from where I had been lying on my bed, I stretched out my arms and legs; my aching muscles leaving my body feeling tired and heavy. I let out a small sigh as I stepped over to my windows and looked out over the sprawling, lit-up city. It was beautiful.
The boys had been so sweet and helped me get all of my stuff moved in, and so I've spent all day organizing and putting my things away. My room is so cute and cozy, and surprisingly enough the decor that I brought with me fits really well in this space. The rug that was left against the wall for me had been laid out on the floor, adding some color and softness to contrast the hardwood flooring. I even hung my favorite little light strings all around the room, and it's given the place such a relaxed, homey feeling. Sigh.
I gazed around my new room happily, content with how everything had turned out. Glancing over to my adorable little vanity, I noticed the my phone was sitting there and buzzing. Hustling over I picked up the device only to see that I had several missed calls and a handful of texts. Whoops, I thought. I must've fallen asleep for a while and forgot to check my messages.
I unlocked my phone and immediately saw that four of the texts I had received were from the boys, and the other was from Mr. Song. I cursed under my breath; what if I missed something really important? Clicking the message, I began to read.
"Hello Miss Choi, I trust the boys have helped you get situated. If there are any problems, please feel free to contact me at any time. I will be in touch tomorrow; it seems like it's been a long day for everyone. -Mr. Song"
I let out a relived breath that I didn't know I had been holding. At least it wasn't anything urgent. I clicked on the other texts I had received, only to see that they were from Namjoon and Jin. We had all exchanged numbers earlier, so I wasn't surprised to see that they had texted.
'From Namjoon; Delivered 7:15 pm.'
"Hey Liberty, we're ordering some take-out for dinner; want anything?"
'From Namjoon; Delivered 7:26 pm.'
"You might still be unpacking so we just ordered you some stuff anyway."
'From Seokjin; Delivered 7:31 pm.'
"Liberty?"
'From Seokjin; Delivered 7:34 pm.'
"Are you ok? You've been really quiet in there; Namjoon says that you haven't been answering his texts. We're all in the same dorm so I don't know why we're even texting, aishh so improper. I'll come check on you."
I read the messages in surprise. Was I really asleep for that long? And they bought me food and everything; I feel so bad now, I hope it didn't go to waste! I had better go see if anyone is still awake so I can apologi-
Wait.
I suddenly had an uneasy feeling in my stomach as I looked back at their texts.........Jin said he came to check on me...? Noooo! I wailed internally and cringed.
I look more ugly than usual when I sleep; ugh, I didn't want any of them to see me like that!
I kicked myself for a few minutes before deciding that there was nothing I could do about it anymore. Taking a deep breath, I mentally composed myself and quietly left my room.
The hallway was pretty dark as I crept along towards the kitchen, but I could hear the faint sound of voices drifting through the air from the living room. I know it's only 10:00, but are they really still up?
