Anakin's point of view:
As I walked down the halls of the temple that I walked through everyday, something felt different, I was lonely. Ever since the death of my former master at the hand of the cyborg Greivous, nothing has been the same. Padmé has been distant, I have been called into the counsel several times in the past few weeks following Obi-Wan's death and there was discussion of me getting a padawan.

Here is what happened in the past few weeks;
"Anakin, you can't blame yourself for Master Kenobi's death." Master Windu assured.
"Your fault, it was not." Yoda added.
"I'm not blaming myself, Greivous is dead, so is the dark side. Why would I blame myself, it was Greivous. I'm just angry that I couldn't save him." I replied to both masters.
"Warning young Skywalker. Anger leads to hate; hate leads to suffering." Yoda added to my comment. "I know master, I am no longer a naive padawan, I am a Jedi knight, part of the Jedi counsel. I know of the teachings, and I will follow them and learn from them."
"Stop you from marriage, the code did not. Who's to say, learn you will?"
"I agree with master Yoda. However, your knowledge of the teachings is why we are making you a Jedi master, you will receive a padawan any time now. You did not fail the Jedi." Master Windu added to the comment made by master Yoda.
"Thank you, Masters." I said whilst bowing to my superiors.
"Strong the darkness remains. Alert you must stay." Yoda told me as I walked toward the door.

After I left the room I returned to the lake house on Naboo, that I shared with my wife and my now ten year old children. "Father! Leia and mother have some news, something about the senate." Luke yelled running towards me. "Ok, where are they?"
"The dining hall." He said seemingly rushed.
Whatever it was it must have been important, I mean Padmé usually told Luke to stay inside and she would come find me, but this was much different. I walked into the large dining hall to see my beautiful wife and daughter sitting in their chairs at the table. "Anakin! I have brilliant news! The senate has asked me to acquire Palpatine's former position as chancellor, and they said when Leia is old enough, she will become senator of Naboo!" Padmé was beaming with excitement.
"That is amazing! I also have good news, the counsel have made me a master and I will receive a padawan any day now." I said calmly, if I was going to be a master, I had to act like one. Padmé's eyes opened wide, not only hers but those of Luke and Leia as well. They stayed silent as they all ran toward me, all of them embracing me in a large hug. "Oh look at the time." Padmé said, " it's time for two little younglings to go to bed." She said whilst looking at Luke and Leia, "come on, you have a big day tomorrow." She was so motherly, it was like she was meant to be a mother.

We walked them up to their rooms, Padmé went with Leia and told her of a queen and a Knight. I went with Luke and just as I was about to exit the room he reminded me that I had to tell him a bedtime story. "Can you tell me the one about the racing?" He asked.
So I did;
"Not too long ago, there was a slave boy. He and his mother Shmi lived on Tatooine, he always wanted to get away from the hot desert planet and see the galaxy, one day he could.
A brave Jedi master, his padawan and a young girl, all landed on Tatooine. They met the slave boy in the streets, he took them to the hut he lived in with his mother. He introduced the young girl to his protocol droid Threepeio, their droid Artoo became quick friends with the protocol droid that the slave boy had made to help his mother. The Jedi master discovered that the young boy was the chosen one and would do anything to get him to the Jedi temple in Coruscant. So he made a deal with watto and if Ani— I mean the slave boy, won a pod race he would be set free, so the boy raced, his win seemed unlikely but he did it, even though an extremely annoying gungan named JarJar Binks, bothering him the whole time he was repairing his racer, he managed to win the race and was set free. He became a very strong Jedi knight and then he got put on the Jedi High Counsel. And he remains a Jedi to this day." I finished with a sigh, "how was that?" I asked the small boy laying in the bed in front of me. "It was —" but before he could finish he had fallen asleep.
Not long after we got the kids to bed, Padmé and I finally went to sleep.

The next morning, Luke and Leia ran into our room and began jumping on me. "Dad, Dad!" They said, "are you taking us to the temple to get assigned a master today?" They asked excitedly.
"Yes, now come on, we will get you into some Jedi robes. Leia, if you wake up your mother, I think she has some special Jedi robes for you." I said pointing at Padmé and directing Luke to his room. When I got Luke to his room, I pulled some dark coloured Jedi robes, that very closely resembled my own. "They might be a bit big but they will do fine for now." I said whilst handing them to Luke, he ran to the bathroom and changed into them, he came out and he looked like an exact replica of me. "Dad? Where are my shoes?" He asked, I then pulled out some black armoured boots and helped him put them on

This chapter is a two parter, so I hope you enjoy the layout I have been doing the chapters in, I think I will continue to write them in this style, thank you for reading.
