Chapter 6 - Scouts

Suzy's P.O.V
I walked and wondered around Gangnam area. I was planning to pick and buy something for Kris since his birthday is near. I went into a shop that sells good quality leather bags. He really needs to get a new bag because the bag he uses when he goes out is really shabby and old... About 7 years...? It even went out of trend already. I don't know the history behind the bag but he really needs to get a new one.

"Hello there Miss! What kind bag would you like?" The sales assistant asked me.

"Do you have anything that is red or black in colour and a top trend for men's wear today?" I enquired.

"Yes we do, it's right here." He led the way.

Just as I was about to follow him, a lady stopped me on my tracks.

"Hello. I am from JYP Entertainment. I am a scout. I am here to offer you to start a talent career."

"Here is my card and the address of the building for the audition. Please do contact me beforehand for the audition. "

The lady then just walked off. I read the card, I'm curiosity. The building is just nearby. So, I thought, why not give it a shot? It's not like I have an ambition to achieve in mind.

But I've heard of many scout scams. I examined the name card. The address of the building was stated there. I then used it as a solid foundation on what to look out for when I research about the company later on.

'JYPent' she searched. She compared all the information on the card except for the scout's name of course. All of it matched exactly.

Hesitant at first, she kept switching between auditioning or to ignore the offer. She feel a sting of worry in her spinning head. She couldn't even focus on the bags that were recommended.

Would her parents say no? What would people think of? Would her teachers be disappointed in her because they knew she could reach out for a better profession?

But one question stroke her brain like series of lightning. What would Luhan think of her? She scratched her head on the thought. Out of all? Why that question? As of all she ever known, she still likes Kris. Never with Luhan. But suddenly that question. Moreover, it hit her thoughts real hard.

Her phone rang, snapping her out of her indecisive thoughts.

Luhan.
Speaking of the devil, huh?.

She rejected it and texted instead.
She reasoned that she couldn't text for long as she's looking around for a perfect present for Kris.

Her attention went back to her intention of being in the store - Kris' bag. She just picked the one in black and went straight to the counter to pay for it.

Suddenly, someone tapped her shoulder. She looked back and the first thing she saw were those twinkling eyes. Their eyes met for a short moment, as if time had stopped around them

"Suzy ah, you okay?" Luhan broke the contact and waved at her face, snapping her back to conscience.

"Oh. Uh. Yea. Sorry. What are you doing here anyway?" She said while she shook her head as an after effect of Luhan's action.

"I was looking for Kris a present too. I decided to get him a bag. His bag looks really shabby. Oh. You got him a bag already? Looks like I'm not the only one who thinks his bag is in a horrendous state " Luhan chuckled at his last statement, making Suzy smile.

Suzy took the bag and made her way out of the store waving at Luhan. Just then, her phone vibrated.
!!1 NEW MESSAGE!!

Luhan
Looks like he's going to get a lot of bags for his birthday this year ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Suzy just smiled at the text, aknowledging the fact. His bag looks terrible anyways. She then called her driver, Mr. Choi to pick her up.

Mr. Choi then arrived 5 minutes after the call. Pretty fast driver huh.

"Miss! Miss! Stop!!"

It was the same person who handed her the card just now, to scout her.

"What is it?" She asked.

"Here. This is my NEW card. I accidentally gave you the one with my unused contact number. Sorry! Please do consider this opportunity! See you at the JYP building!" She said while panting. She then smiled at Suzy and bowed her goodbye. Suzy returned her a smile and bowed even lower than the lady did, considering that the lady is older than her.

She went in the car. She slumped her back then told her driver to blast F(x)' s All Mine on the radio. She closed her eyes for moment, trying to make her thoughts about the audition fade away because she knew, no one would agree. No one would support her. Forget what others think - Her parents wouldn't even accomodate the idea of her becoming an entertainer.
