Before John stood a tall dark haired teen, with brown locks that ruffled in random ways over his face. He had green eyes, which were a bright and stood out. He bore black glasses, which perched comfortably upon his nose. A black top hung off his shoulders, and a green skull was placed in the middle, bearing a basic design. He had shorts which cut off at his upper thighs, and black shoes. Large black ram horns curled around his ears, which were
rather sharp at the pointed end. He had large wings which were outstretched in front of him, raised in the air. They were coated in thick scales, which were a dark green. His tail was similar to a lizards; large and muscular. It swung behind him in a soft rhythm, hovering above the floor.

"Jake!" John muttered breathlessly as he raised himself to his feet, his feathered wings slowly folding and shuffling onto his back. He dusted himself down, blinking wide eyed at him. Jake had an amused look on his features, a glint of amusement evident in his eyes.

"Looks like you've got yourself in a sticky situation" he'd purr, arching his brows as a grin would tug at his lips. John let out a frustrated growl, huffing softly as he walked as close the barrier as he could.

"Spare me the lecture. Mind giving me a hand first?" John would question, his hands slipping to tug at his tatted shirt, tugging the fabric to get a clear look at his wound. His body seemed to be finding it an easy task to remove the holy water from his system. Perhaps it was his demonic powers aiding him, but he wasn't quite sure.

Jake nodded quietly and outstretched his wings, begging to work on the barrier. He pulled out two pistols, and John wasn't quite sure how they'd help. Jake cocked his pistol and fired a single bullet at the she'd, and John would dive out the way, the bullet shattering the shield. It dissolved and disappeared into thin air, like steam.

John stared up, rising to his feet. "We need to leave, Jake, Dirk and Dave will be back soon." He'd explain. Jake nodded in thought, blinking down at John.

"Well we better get going then. We need to continue your lessons. How well are you in control of your trickster capabilities?" Jake would question, heading toward the window. He would fire a kick into it, smashing the large glass. He'd hop on the windowsill, crouching on it, his wings outstretched, staring back at John questioningly, his tail draping lowly against the ground.

John would wander over, hopping onto the window sill, unfurling his large wings. He ruffled the feathers, stretching them out. "Good! I managed to prank one of the Striders- you should've seen the look on his face!-" he'd begin, grinning like an idiot until he saw English's face. He'd swallow thickly and nod, blinking at the sky. "I'm getting better."

Jake would nod, pressing his wings against his body as he'd push off the windowsill like a frog, leaping into the air. He'd spin, unraveling his wings as he'd outstretched them, drifting in the air as he stopped himself from spinning; floating on the breeze.

John would watch quietly, blinking at the ground. He'd ruffle his feathers and shift from foot to foot, his lion tail waggling as he'd push off, instead plummeting to the ground. He'd tuck his wings in, and at the very last minute would spread his feathered wings out, gliding above the ground. He'd use the power he'd gain to rocket off into the sky, spinning as he'd open his wings and dive around, like a happy young fledging who just learned how to fly.

"John. Stop messing around! We don't know when the Striders' will be-" he'd begin, getting cut off as something would fly into the sky. It was a small capsule, and it exploded into a large net, aiming for Jake. He'd immediately dive, missing the trap, flapping his wings as he'd look around.

The brothers were running towards them, shouting curses as they tried to fire again. "JOHN, FLEE!" He'd yell. The fledgling would watch with round eyes, his large blue wings flapping on the spot. He'd immediately dive away, rapidly flapping his wings, heading for the canopy of a forest. He was panting heavily, whispering streams of "Nononononono!" To himself.

He looked behind him, to see if Jake was following, when he'd let out a bird-like screech. A net capsule exploded around him, and it sent him spinning towards the ground. John would slam against branches, breaking them and taking them with him. His screeching was cut short by this, and he'd pummel to the ground, crashing against the uneven terrain. He'd fall silent, his body slumped, the net tightly wrapped around him, tightened.

He stayed alone until a crunching could be heard, and John would let out a low groan. He'd look up, to see the one and only Dave. "Dave?" He'd croak quietly, blinking up at him. A foot was shoved against his chest, and he was rolled over, a gun being placed against his forehead.

"Egbert" A southern accent growled, Dave narrowing his eyes at the defenceless boy. "Fancy seeing you here" he'd murmur lowly. John remained quiet for once, staring up with scared blue eyes. God, he was going to kill him. Dave fell silent as he pressed the barrel against his head tightly, shouting "Don't look at me like that!"

John would let out a series of pitiful cries of pain, his eyes closing, his fluffy tail waggling about slowly. His bright black feathers had fallen out all over the place from the fall, a few in the tees. One slipped off the branch, floating softly to the ground before landing on Dave's hand, on top of the gun.

He'd blink at it, biting his lip as he'd press his finger onto the trigger.
