I don't really remember much before things started happening; probably because I didn't really care about.... well.... anything, back then. I didn't care about school, nor about my grades, I didn't even care about my future. The only reason I even bothered to go to school is because Nico was there. Somehow, his smile always brought me joy and made me feel.... that I am worth something.
But that was before... things... started changing to the worst.

I woke up to the sound of Nico vomiting in the bathroom. He was staying with me for the past month because his mom was out of town and his dad; well; he never knew his dad.

Nico! Are you okay in there?

I'm fine. Don't worry about me.

It wasn't the first time that this happened. It's been going on for a month now. And it was getting more and more frequent.

I told you not to bang that dude last week! Result? You're now pregnant!

Never knew you were such a comedian!
He shouted from across the locked door.

Come on! It's a little funny, admit it!

I'll give you a pity laugh..... Ha. Ha.
He said as he opened the bathroom door, pale faced.

Are you sure you're fine? you look kind of pale, let me check your forehead.
I gently rested my hand on his forehead.
Your temperature is normal.

I told you, I'm fine. There's nothing to worry about.
He was not.
I knew it.
He knew it.

We then got dressed and finished our breakfast..well, I did.
Nico's appetite had been decreasing, those days: Another addition to my worries.

So your mom is coming back today, huh.
I asked him, as we were walking together, on our way to school.

Yup! Along with tons of souvenirs for you and me!

Nico, you know I don't like it when your mom brings me stuff. She already did more than enough for me.

Nonsense. You're like her second son. She loves you!
A brief silence occurred.
Will, you're not going to tell her about what's the whole vomiting thing, right?
He stopped in his tracks, anxiously waiting for my answer.

Of course not.

Great cause I thought...

You're going to tell her.
I cut him off.

What? No!
Will, I'm fine, OK? She'll just end up worried for nothing.

For nothing? Nico, are you really being serious?

I'm not saying anything, and that's my final word on this subject.

I didn't really like it when Nicholas and I fight, so I decided to let it go for now.

After a five-ish minute walk, we arrived in class, where things started happening again.

Hey Will, I forgot my physics book, can I borrow yours? You can share with Nico.
A classmate in front of us asked.

Hey, it's not my fault you're irresponsible. Deal with it.

Here, take mine. William will share with me. Nico said.
