"Pass me the sugar."
I hand Kayla the big bag of sugar, making my arms go weak since its so heavy. Right now, we're making some double chocolate filling cupcakes which makes my stomach growl just thinking about it.
After Kayla stirs the batter, she sticks the pan into the oven and hands me a spoon full of uncooked batter. My tongue slides up to the end of the spoon, tasting the sweet, soft chocolate.
"So what do you want to do until the cupcakes are done?" I wondered, wiping the excess chocolate that was on my face with a paper towel.
"How about you tell me what its like living with a smoking hot babysitter?" Kayla smirked, cocking up both of her brows. It's only been a week since I've been 'living' with this insanity and it hasn't been the time of my life-I can promise that. "I mean here it is Saturday and I've only heard about what happened last night. It can't be all bad,"
"I'm not even sure if he's even a babysitter or not. I feel like he's there just to annoy me. He's been staying with us for the past week and I swear if he's going to move in, I'm going to jail for committing two homicides. Luke and Christopher," I ranted.
"Oh Krysta, they don't have Netflix in prison," she said, playfully nudging my arm.
I chuckle at her joke. I wouldn't want to risk my Netflix just because my idiotic brother gave me the most annoying babysitter on the planet.
"Why do you want to know so much about Christopher and I?" I questioned, pushing myself on top of the counter.
"I have said this a million times and I'm going to say it a million and one, y'all are soul-mates and the cutest things on the planets. I haven't really seen y'all talk to each other but I bet it'll brings glory to my eyes," she squealed.
"All it brings is a killing vibe," I chuckled, hearing someone pulling into the driveway. "Are you expecting anyone?"
I point to her window.
Kayla shoots me a confused look, heading to her kitchen window. A smirk creeps upon her olive skin. "Your brother has arrived."
Sure enough Luke walks through the front door with his hair all fixed up and no dirt on his body. He's dressed in red plaid lumber jacket looking shirt with some jeans and boots. Where did he come from?
"Ready, little one?" Luke asked, pulling me out my thoughts.
The oven goes off in time for the cupcakes to be done.
"Not before these," Kayla grinned, handing Luke and I cupcakes that are burning in our hands.
I nod, following him out the door to his truck. I can't believe I forgot how nice his truck is. Is it possible to be in love with a vehicle. Well if it isn't then I just made it possible because from seeing how Luke remodel the inside and paint the outside a light gold color. I'm going to hijack this from him as soon as I learn how to drive.
I jump out of the truck, finishing off my cupcake, and head my way through the front door. I spy with my little eye three guys sitting on my brown leather love seat, playing Black Ops.
When I move closer towards them, I start to see Christopher, Samuel, and Kyle! Kyle Valentine is in my house! I haven't seen him since the second to last week of school. He's one of my brother's friends that Luke would always warn me about, but honestly he's not that bad of a guy. The only time I would talk to him is when I would have Biology with him. Kyle is more of a dork that plays football and isn't a cocky bastard.
A smile creeps upon both of our faces once Kyle acknowledges me. He puts his controller on the table and moves towards my direction. "Hey Krysta. It's nice to see you again."
