Raven pov
I opened my optics and looked up to see Sounders still asleep...his mask still gone. I studied his scars 'I wonder where he got those...and why doesn't he talk in his real voice??' I vented a quiet sigh 'I guess as he earns my trust I'll earn his.' I turned so I could see the ceiling and thought about my human life.
When I was a toddler my parents actually noticed me but as soon as I became a teen they ignored me almost like "I don't have a daughter she's just a niece." Or "Honey who is that teenage girl who keeps living in our house?" They literally forgot they had a daughter. Without a voice I couldn't yelled at them to make them understand that I was their daughter.
'I hate them! I hate them so much!! I hope they die a slow and painful death!' I quickly sat up, waking Sounders. I stood and walked to the door "Raven you alright?"
"Fine...I just need to take a walk."
"Alright..." Sounders nodded as I opened the door and walked out.

I walked to Sounders work station and quickly looked up my human parents "Both still alive." I kept scrolling and I became angry. There was nothing about a missing daughter! No files! No police reports! No investagtion!! NOTHING!!! I have been gone for over six human months!!!! AND THEY DON'T CARE AT ALL!!!! I sank to the floor and began to cry uncontrollably "They hated me and they still do."
"Raven?" I heard Sounders trot over towards me "What's wrong??" I couldn't answer due to my cries.
He looked at the screen and instantly knew. He turned the computer off and bent down to me, cradling me to his chassis. "It's alright I'm here."
"They hate me...they don't even care for me. They never did!!!"
"Forget them, they are human, you are Cybertronain...they mean nothing." Sounders said and began to rub my back gently.

We walked around the empty mine "Sounders...it's empty." I frowned.
"I know it is."
"Then why are we here?"
"You need to learn what to do if your in a situation like an Autobot attack and you haven't learned to fight yet."
I frowned and walked away a little "But I'd have you to help me."
"True...but I can't protect you if I'm in the middle of a fight."
"Why do you have to be right?" I pouted and "stomped" over to Sounders.
He chuckled and stroked my cheek "Well you need to learn basic training for self defense."
I jokingly mocked him "Basic self defense..." he rolled his optics.
"But I have a big, strong mech like you to protect me."
"Babe..."
"Shh..." I shushed him "Do you hear that?" He gave me a look.
I lowered my voice "It's a blue jay!" And pointed at the little bird sitting in a willow tree not too far from us.
Sounders wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer "I remember when my grandfather used to take me bird watching...that is until he died of a heart attack."
"Shh...don't think of your past life, my love, think of the life you have now."
I rested my helm on his chassis and listened to his spark beat...it calmed me down.
