Chapter 2

2 weeks later ; Thanksgiving Day

Adrienne

Today is Thanksgiving and everyone is coming over.Im scrambling to finish cooking.Everyone is gonna be here in a few hours.

"You need any help?"Trey said coming in the kitchen

"No just keep the boys entertained for me please."I said

"Okay."He said

I put the turkey's in the oven to heat up.I cooked them yesterday.

I saw Xavier come in the kitchen.

"Hey Mommy."He said

"Hey baby."I said

"Can I taste?"He asked

I smiled.

"Mm no not yet."I said

"Pleaseee."He said

"Treyyy!"I yelled

"Yes?"He asked

"Come get this boy please.Im trying to cook."I said

"Mommy."He pouted

"C'mon boy."Trey said and picked him up

I put the yams in the oven and closed it.I think everything is done so im gonna go get ready.I went upstairs and got in the shower for 15 minutes.After i did my makeup and my hair.I finally got dressed and fluffed my hair a little.I came out the bathroom and Trey was standing there.

"Finally girl move."He said

"Shut up!"I said and pushed him playfully

I walked to Ashton's room.

"Hey fat man."I said and kissed his cheek

"Mommy."He smiled

"I gotta get you dressed okay?"I said

He nodded and pushed his toy car.I put a denim button down on him and some khaki pants.I rubbed his head.

"There you go baby."I said

"Tank you."He said

Xavier walked in the room.

"Mom?"He said

"When did you start calling me mom?"I asked

"Im a big kid now I can't keep calling you Mommy."He said

"Oh well okay.Well what did you want?"I asked

"Is what im wearing okay?"He asked

I nodded."You look fine ba-big boy."

He nodded and walked out the room.I sighed.He's growing up so fast.Next thing I know he'll be in college.

I went downstairs and set the food out and set the table then the doorbell rung.I walked to the door and it was Aaliyah and Andre.Aaliyah was going to school as USC and this was her first time home this semester and Andre is an engineer.He's working on moving out here soon.

"Hey!"I smiled and hugged them

"Come in."I said

They walked in.

"You look beautiful Adri."Liyah said

"Awe thanks you too."I said

"Where my nephews?"Andre asked

"Upstairs.You can out the food in the kitchen."I said

They went and put their dishes down.Then Trey and the boys came down.
