I sat in the waiting room with my Mumma and Adrienne's folks.I fucked up big time.I promised I'd never put my hands on her and I did just that.Everyone was silent waiting to hear how she was doing.
"Adrienne Phillips?"The doctor appeared
I stood up.
"She is sleeping but you all can come on back."He said
We walked into her room and she was hooked up to all the cords and stuff.
"Well Adrienne has two bruises on her face and a mild concussion.The baby is fine though."He said
"Baby?"We all said
"Yes she is about 3 weeks pregnant."
I smiled but then it faded when I saw her father scowl at me.
The doctor left.
"You put your hands on my baby girl?"He said
"Mr.Phillips-
"You will not be marrying my daughter nor will she be staying with you.She can raise this baby on her own."He said
"Now hold on a minute Marcus.We can discuss this."Mumma said
"I have to be in that baby's life."I said
"That's fine but you will not see Adrienne at all."He said
I nodded."Yes sir."
"Mama?Daddy?"I looked over and saw that she woke up
Her mom rushed to her side.
"Oh my baby.Are you alright?"She said
"Im fine Mama."She said
"Babygirl you'll be staying with us."Her father said
She looked at me.
"I can't.I love Tremaine."She said
"You're gonna end up dead if you keep this up."He said
"Nobody is perfect.He made a mistake and so did I."She said
"That doesn't warrant for you to get all beat up Adrienne!!"He yelled
She jumped.
"We're gonna get help and go to counseling."She said
"That's a whole bunch of bullshit!"He said
"With all due respect Mr.Phillips it is her choice."I said
"You will not see my daughter.Unless one of the boys or this new baby is on fire or dead.YOU HEAR ME!?!"He said
"New baby?"Adrienne said
I sat down."You're 3 weeks pregnant."
She started to cry.
"I don't want it."She said
"Adrienne stop it."Her mother said
"You know how much I drank and smoked?This baby is probably gonna die anyway."She said
"Don't think like that."Mumma said
"Can you call the doctor in?"She said lowly
"Adrienne no."I said
"Just go.Everyone!"She said
I sighed and kissed her cheek before we all left the room.
