Chapter 4

"Jason" Cleo says while storming towards us.

"Babe." He says with probably the most fake smile I have ever seen. Cleo continues to walk towards us and stops right in front of Jason.

"We'll talk about this  later." She says to Jason and then turns to look at me to give me a dirty look and stomps away.

Finally I'm done with all my subjects for the day. College is tiring, but now its time for me to go back to my dorm room and Cleo might be there. After what happened today I'm kind of scared to face her. Wait, why am I scared? I didn't do anything wrong.

I walk to my dorm room and hesitate before opening the door. When I open the door, my dorm room is empty. Thank glob. I really didn't wanna see Cleo right now.

I put my bag down next to the desk and throw myself onto my bed. I'm exhausted. Just as my eyes start to close, I hear the door being opened. Shit. I sit up to see a furious Cleo.

"What the hell Kat!? He's my fucking boyfriend!" She shouts, causing me to get off my bed

"Cleo, I didn't do anything wrong." I tell her. I could tell she was getting more furious by the second.

" Are you trying to steal my boyfriend!?! Do you think just because you're pretty..." I couldn't focus on what she is saying. All I can focus on, are her eyes.

They're turning red! THEY ARE TURNING FUCKING RED!!

I take a step back with my eyes wide open because of what I am looking at right now. What the hell is she?!

"W-what are you?" I stutter softly while still backing away. I can tell she just grows more angry when she hears me speak so she steps closer opening her mouth revealing a pair of fangs. What. The. Hell. Is. Happening? Before I know it, Cleo is lunging towards me, fangs out Causing me to jump backwards onto my bed. I close my eyes and prepare for whats about to come....but nothing happened.

When I open my eyes and see Colin holding back a squirming Cleo."Cleo, calm down. She didn't do anything wrong." Colin says causing her to let out a loud, intimidating hiss, still fighting to get out of his grip.

"She's trying to steal my boyfriend!" She says and as the words leave her mouth she jumps, trying to get out of Colin's grip and attack me again making me quickly shift backwards on my bed until I feel the wall behind me.

"No she's not! I didn't want to be the one to tell you this but your boyfriend is a dick and flirts with any girl in sight. Katherine didn't do anything, Jason came on to her." Colin says.

Cleo calms down at his words, her eyes turning back to their normal, light blue colour  and he releases her from his grip."Oh my god. Katherine, I'm so sorry, I..." She was interrupted by Colin's loud voice.

"Get out!" He shouts extremely loud and intimidating making me jump from fright.

Cleo leaves the room, leaving me and Colin alone in the room. He turns to look at me and his features immediately soften. I stare at him with wide eyes and a frightened expression, still sitting in the back corner of my bed.

"W-what t-the hell i-is she!? Her eyes were red and she had fangs!! FANGS!!" I say, freaking out. What the hell? This isn't real, I'm dreaming again. I have to be...

"Katherine, you need to calm down okay." He says stepping closer to me making me try to shift further backwards on my bed.

"Oh my god..." I say completely ignoring his request for me to calm down." Are y-you one t-too?" I stutter looking at him. He looks down at his shoes guiltily before looking at my widening eyes. He's one too. Oh my god. What if he hurts me, or even worse, kills me. "What the hell are you!?!" I shout with a shaky voice.

"Katherine calm down." He says with his usual deep , husky voice, looking down at me as if I'm overreacting. I'm so sick of this. If someone doesn't tell me what the hell just happened, I'm going to scream.

With my newly found confidence, I get off my bed and walk over to him " You better tell me what the hell just happened, and don't lie to me!" I shout looking up at him. Suddenly I felt his hands on the side of both my arms, squeezing a bit, not enough to hurt me but enough to make my confidence fly out the window. What was once confidence is now fear, I was literally shaking out of fright. Is he going to hurt me?

"I'll tell you once you calm down, okay?" He says as I struggle to get out of his grip, but he just isn't budging. My heart is racing and I'm freaking out, but I need to know what he is, so I give up and stop trying to get out of his grip

"I-I am c-calm."

"No, you're not, I can hear your heart racing."

"Y-you can hear my h-heart beating?" I say, looking up at him with wide eyes.

"Yes"

"You have to tell me" I say, starting to struggle again. "This isn't fair to me, I need to know now!" I shout,hitting and pushing his shoulders to try and get him away from me but he still wouldn't budge.

Suddenly, I felt his lips crash onto mine and I couldn't help but kiss back. His lips are so soft and tastes of mint, I just couldn't stop. It was addictive. He was addictive. Every time he spoke to me I would get butterflies. Wait, I can't do this, he's a monster. Realizing this, I stop kissing him and try to push him away, but it only makes him kiss me harder.

"Kiss me back." He growls

"N-no" I say causing him to let me go and take a step back. He was wearing an expression on his face that was hard to read...but it kind of looked like he was hurt.

"Tell me what just happened" I tell him in a voice that let's him know I'm not kidding.

"Fine." He sighs " Katherine, just please don't freak out..."

"I'm already freaking out Colin" I tell him, making him sigh again.

"I-I'm a...um."

"Just tell me." He looks at the ground and rubs his neck with his right hand.

He keeps his eyes on his shoes before saying ..."I'm a Vampire."
