This dress did not fit my body. I tugged on the flower printed dress, trying to cover my knees. It was a white sundress, with sunflowers, pink details woven on it also. It was an old dress, one of the few I owned. I never really wore dresses, just the white dress shirts, and pencil skirts I wore to work. If I wasn't at work, I wore sweats. I didn't believe in such indulgences. Maybe that's why Sean and I separated. When I was with him I wore "normal clothes". We never went on dates, I thought our relationship was easier that way. Was I ever so wrong?

The more I tugged on the dress, the more I realized that it was not going to stretch. The float material landed an inch above my knee, and I would have to deal with it. We were late to a couple's breakfast, the start of all the wedding festivities. I put on lip gloss, and mascara, wearing no other makeup. Again, I did not have the time or patience for such an indulgence. I looked myself over other the bathroom mirror, my curly hair hanging down to my shoulders. The honey spirals creating a frizz-less halo around my face, a few strands bouncing on my forehead.

Though, I was still reluctant to go out of the bathroom. I would have to face Ethan. After last night I was even more aware of his presence. Oh. I don't know how I always got myself into these situations with Ethan. Just seeing Ethan made my nerves go haywire, a warmness settling in between my legs. Slapping my forehead, I conjured any courage I had, and opened the bathroom door.

I noticed Ethan immediately. He was sitting on the side of the bed, the white sheets still ruffled from last night. He wore a crisp white button down, the white fabric framing the tight muscles I never noticed. His dark washed jeans were tight in all the right places, showcasing sculpted thighs. His hair was damp, light brown waves framing his face. To my surprise he hadn't shaved. A dark shadow was casted over his perfect jaw. Suddenly I recalled my weakness for men with 5 o'clock shadows. His icy eyes took in my appearance, I was subconsciously wishing everything was in place. No! I would not be insecure around my own assistant. Using my most stoic voice-

"I'm ready, and we need to leave out."
Without a word, Ethan walked out of the bedroom. I followed right after him, making sure to grab my purse.

We arrived to another building, that had more of a modern cabin feel. A sign indicated that it was a lodge. I exited the car, Ethan approaching me.

"What should I know?" Surprisingly, Ethan was less talkative, only asking for directions on the drive to the lodge. I should be happy, right?

"Okay. We met at a work ball, we've been dating for 3 months, and the rest is histor-"

"Pet names?" Ignoring the rude tone, I answered.

"No. No pet names. Sean knows that I hate them. I think that's all we need for right now."
We walked into the lodge, going to the front desk. A scrawny teen worked the counter, staring at the computer screen in front of him. I smiled once he noticed me.

"Hi. I'm looking for the wedding breakfast." The teen's face had a slight flush, stuttering when he talked.

"Are you Lockman party of two?" I nodded in agreement.

"I'll show you the way." The teen came from behind the desk, walking down the hallway. We followed behind the dark haired teen, being shown towards the room. I said goodbye to the young receptionist, before coming face-to-face with a grand dining room. Light flowed in from the enormous windows, reflecting off of the crystal chandelier, adorning the ceiling. My eyes glanced at the table, light pink flowers detailed the wooden table. Mimicking the same flowers in the gardens of all the cabins. White plates were filled with food, the 4 couples in the middle of taking from them. Rachel approached us both.

"Hi welcome you two. Sit down! We have so much food prepared!" Her cheerful voice agitated me.

Her chestnut hair out into a glossy ponytail. She was wearing a perfect blue cocktail dress. Pairing the sophisticated outfit with pearls and gold heels. I looked down at my worn out dress. I felt ashamed of it, immediately wanting to be back in my own apartment with my sweats.

"You look aanlokkelijk, dont doubt yourself."

I looked at him in confusion, wondering what the foreign word was. I looked up to find Rachael looking at Ethan, a bit longer than normal. Nonetheless, we where shown to our seats.
I found Sean seated next to his fiancée, giving me a smile. He rose, giving me a hug before sitting back down.

"You look wonderful Shea." I beamed at his compliment.

"Oh you're just buttering me up for a nice wedding gift." A round of light laughter went around the table, ridding the table of awkwardness.
Rachael introduced everyone.

"Shea and Ethan meet Leila and Wyatt." I looked over at the brunette couple. The woman had short hair, cropped low to her face. She was pretty, light green eyes making her look fairy-like. Though, her partner was the opposite. He had raven black hair that hung to his shoulders. He had hazel eyes that contrasted with his dark features. His large arm was draped around his partner's petite body.

"Sharon and Josey-" I met eyes with a blond couple wearing the same light blue sweater. They looked adorable , the wife had thin rimmed glasses, and a polite face.

"Lastly, Sherry and Garrett." The woman was dark, her black curls bouncing off her shoulders. Her husband had strawberry blonde hair. He looked infatuated with her, his hand caressing her arm.
