Into The Nothing (Fear The Walking Dead)

Part 1 Chapter 3

"Well what are we going to do about it" said a voice. I slipped in and out of conscious, I could hear a conversation between three, wait is it three, or two people. A female and two males. I could not move but I could feel big arms wrapped around me, we were moving. I opened my eyes slightly and we walking towards the house that I saw before I passed out.

"Why is she covered in blood?" a young male asked. "I do not know" the other male voice answered, I think he is the one carrying me. "Do you think she was attacked by the infected" a woman said. Then everything came back to me, I was by the fence and one of those things attacked me. I opened my eyes wide now and tried to wiggle my way out of the man's arms. He ended up dropping me. I lied on the ground then started screaming.

"What the hell, where am I, who are you. Oh god please don't tell me I dead!" I yelled. I felt my face just to check if I was not dead, I looked up at the three people looking down at me. I blushed slightly. "Miss are you okay" a middle aged man with dark hair asked me.

"Am I okay, I don't even know" I said softly. "What's that supposed to mean" the boy next to him mutters, the same man offered me a hand, I took it and he pulled me up. I couldn't properly stand and my legs still felt like jelly. I grabbed onto his arm but let go because it felt weird.

"Are you sure you are okay?" a woman with blonde hair asked. I nodded and said "yeah, I'll be fine". I hope. "Where am I, if I may ask?" I asked looking around. The middle aged man and woman shared glances. "This is the DZ, one of twelve safe zones, apparently" the man said, "I'm Travis by the way and this is Maddie" he pointed to the blonde woman.

I then looked at the boy from the roof and he said "Chris". I looked back at Travis and said "nice to meet y'all, I'm ahh winter" I said, (did I seriously almost forget your own name), "do you mind if I use your phone?" I need to phone Gus, I really hope he is okay.

"Those are not working but you can come back with us" said the woman, I forgot her name...

"Yes, thank you..."

"Madison" she said.

That's what it is, I'll have to write that somewhere. We walked back to their (I presume) house. I walked at the end and I could not construct a clear thought, all I could think about is Gus and that 'person' that attacked me. Wait, I stopped. Where is my backpack? I looked back and it was not where I fell, Madison was not holding it. I looked to left and the boy had it. He reminded me of someone, it am pretty sure I've seen him before, it mean his hair is gorgeous.

"Wait, what" it said out loud. They all looked at me and it just looked down.

Not that long after we reached the house. And I went through the back gate first, the first thing I saw was a pool and somebody in the pool. He had sunglasses on.

"Hey nick" Madison said but he ignored her. She tried again but there was no response out of him. We then went into the house, Chris gave me my backpack and went somewhere else. The house was not too big, Travis said something to Madison and left. I stood awkwardly in the kitchen, I did not know what to do with myself.

"Give me this I'll wash it for you" she said, I was confused for a moment then realized my parka was covered in blood. I took it off and slung my backpack over my shoulder.

"Okay" she started and leaned on the counter, "how did you get here and where are you from". I tried to remember and explain as best I could. I told her that I was up in the mountains and there was houses and gun shots. I told her about Gus but when I started talking about him I broke down. Oh my god I hope he is not one of those things, Madison hugged me and rubbed my back. I just cried, he was the only person I had left.
