As the time to go to University quickly approached, the stress for finding a place to stay greatly increased. You had tried to search for a room mate, but that was too expensive. You had a well paying job already set up to start when you moved to London, but it wasn't enough to rent an apartment (even with a room mate). If you didn't find a place within the next few weeks, you could say goodbye to that University that fought over you with other schools offering places.

Scrolling through the many pages of expensive flats and dorms, something caught your eye. There was a bedroom in a house being offered, and it was cheap. Not even a single flat, just a bedroom! It was only £200 a month, you could afford that! You did look at the description, and it stated that you would have access to every facility in the house, and a shared bathroom next door to the room being offered. Wi-Fi was free, and you wouldn't have to contribute to the monthly food bill. How had no one taken this offer yet? It was incredibly good!

But then, something caught your eye and made you wonder if that was what put everyone off. At the end of the description, was who you were to live with should you rent the room. It said that there were four men, between the ages of 20 and 23. They were all described as having jobs that 'required them to work at home, and they would not be of any bother'. That could mean anything! It did say to expect noise late into the night, one of them working by a sleep schedule in-between GMT and EST, meaning that they work late into the night, and into the early morning. You could deal with that, right?

You emailed the owner, 'Josh Bradley', and applied for the room.

~One Month Later~

After the long drive to London from your home town, you had finally made it to the house that you were going to live in for the next four years or so. As you pulled into the drive, you recognised the face of the person standing outside the door, waiting. It was Josh, the two of you had talked over Skype about a fortnight ago, to finalize details about you moving in. You had realized that the house had 5 bedrooms, but you didn't expect it to be that big! It was absolutely massive!

As you pulled into the remaining parking space on the drive, Josh made his way over to you, presumably to help you with your boxes and suitcases. After a short greeting, the other three men that inhabited the house emerged and helped you with your boxes, without any hello's or hi's. But that was okay. You and Josh had planned to unpack your things, and take your dinner to your room so that you could relax, before meeting everyone the next day. But that didn't stop you from looking at your new 'friends'.

The first, being Josh, was extremely tall with dark-brown-almost-black hair and a slight beard. He had a typical London accent, bordering cockney. He was wearing a hoodie, with the word 'SideMen' on, and black joggers. He had unlaced black shoes, obviously pulled on in a hurry to help you.

The second was also very tall, about the height of Josh. He had blond hair, and striking blue eyes. Not to mention that he was extremely attractive, well, they all were really. This man also wore a black 'SideMen' hoodie, but with grey joggers. He also had shoes on, but they were more like slippers, and most likely slipped on with ease.

The third was slightly shorter, but still tall compared to your small height. He had dark skin, that looked like melted chocolate, and a stronger build. To be honest, he looked scary, but once you heard his laugh at a comment the blond made, you knew that he meant no harm. He wore a garment of clothing also with the tag 'SideMen', but this time it was a t-shirt, and the design was different.

The last man was a sight to be seen. He was absolutely gorgeous, despite his sleep-deprived state. You guessed that this was the one that had a sleep schedule of in-between GMT and EST time zones. He wore a burgundy 'SideMen' hoodie, and black jeans, suggesting that maybe he was leaving for somewhere later in the day. He was the first to offer you a smile, albeit a tired one, it still warmed your heart. His cinnamon skin looked smooth and silky.

Once your bedroom was unpacked, and your stomach was filled, it was past 11 PM and your bed was welcoming you. You fell asleep as soon as your head hit the pillow, and that was no exaggeration.

~The Next Day~

You awoke the next morning at a late 10 AM and panic spread through your body. You were meant to introduce yourself this morning! And then you remembered, they had a later sleeping pattern to yours, they were probably still asleep. And you were right.

You had been awake for 4 hours now, and you were getting board. You had done nearly everything you could have done. You had made yourself breakfast, left the left overs in one of the 2 microwaves, with a note on the door. You had found the Wi-Fi password on a note left on your door from one of the men, Vik, so you had set up all your gadgets with the internet. You were glad for the free Wi-Fi, as half of your course relied on online classes and homework. You had also spent the last 2 of those 4 hours watching your favourite show on Netflix, as you had nothing else to do.

You heard commotion going on downstairs, a tumble of steps getting louder and louder, before a knock on your door.

"1 tip, don't ever run up both of those flights of stairs! Also, we're all downstairs and ready to meet you." It was Josh, and he was out of breath. You followed him down the stairs and into the living room, where all of your house mates were spread across the couches, with the dark skinned man yelling to the blond 'LOVE ME'.

Josh cleared his throat, and everybody stopped and looked directly at you. The atmosphere was thick and quiet, until laughter broke out and you, Josh, and the blond were mostly laughing at the last man's comical laugh. After around 3 minutes of laughing, things died down, and all attention was once again focused on you.

"Guys this is (Y/N), (Y/N) this is Olajide, but you can call him JJ or Jide, and Simon and Vik." Josh's accent rang through the near silent room, as he introduced me to each of the men you were to live with for the next four years. You were okay with this.

~6 Months Later~

You were about 5 months into your college course, and you're extremely glad that you moved into the house with the boys. Every day was an adventure, and the friends that you now had made you forget about the bad experiences you had with friends growing up.

It wasn't unusual for you to be cuddly, and the boys certainly knew this. Even though Josh had a girlfriend, Freya was completely okay with the two of you hugging because she knew that your relationship was wholly platonic, and more sibling like. Simon, JJ, and Vik had become used to you often offering the casual embrace to either one. It was just your style.

As you snuggled into Vik's side after a long and stressful day at college, he threw his arm around you and pulled you in closer, if at all possible. The both of you snuggled further into the blanket strewn across you on the two sofas pushed together, in an attempt to keep warm. The TV was playing a film, but neither of you were particularly watching it. You were just content in each other's company. Around half way through the film, Vik had started talking to you. In moments like these, you never needed to respond, just listening to Vik's velvet voice was enough to calm you down and stop you stressing over failing University. You had now planned to join in on doing YouTube after you finished school, but it never hurt to have that degree.

"You know, (Y/N), I'm really glad you moved into this house with us. You've made us the happiest we've been for a while now, and I'm really grateful for that. I don't think I could handle another day of a moody Jide or Simon." You chuckled.

"Thanks Vik, that really means a lot." You thanked, and buried your head further into the warmth of his chest, obviously laden with a SDMN t-shirt. He responded with a kiss to your forehead, which made your cheeks flush.

"You know what, fuck it." Vik had said, leaving you confused. A short second after, Vik pulled you in for a kiss. That kiss was incredible, words could not describe. That was the first kiss that you had shared, the kind of kiss that made your toes curl and insides scream with butterflies. You were left with chills, but you were oh so warm.

Neither of you needed to say anything, the kiss was enough. After your insides were literally turned to mush, the two of you stayed snuggled down under the covers, and stayed there for the rest of the night, just content in each other's company. Not to mention the many life-improving kisses you shared that night.
