I watched the movie, and I had a wonderful idea. Why not write after Lastat takes off with Malloy? Of course it would be for Louis.

-Louis-

It is Halloween night. I planned to go to a party, hoping to get a decent meal. I am glad I kept my old things. Costumes irritated my skin. I had thought about Malloy for many months and his eagerness to become an immortal. What a fool. I would not damn another soul.

When I entered the ballroom, I was appalled at what some of these people called costumes then I saw her. God had answered my prayers, and I thought he had damned me a long time ago.

-Claire-

"Oh my god Claire! You look amazing!"I grinned at my cousin, Nina. I was actually really upset. I spent two hours on my hair and now my curls got wet because of the stupid rain! My best friend, Morghan hugged me and whispered that look great, then she smirked. "Look at the hottie who just so happens to match your costumes." I look at the man she was pointing at. He was very attractive. I caught his haunting gaze. His eyes looked so sad. He seemed to perk up. Happiness took over most of his body. Morghan pushed me over to him. "Go, girl!" I tripped a little and blushed, as the mysterious stranger chuckled. His gaze intimidated me. The warm yet sad eyes turned cold and hateful as he looked at me. I still stumbled toward the alluring man. "Do not be afraid my little Claudia. It is only me." "....How did you know my name was Claudia? Mostly people call me Claire." I was intrigued by him. He smiled, grabbing my hand, taking it to his mouth slowly as if for me to object. His lips gently went over my hand. "Well, Miss Claudia I think you owe me a dance." At that moment a slower song came on. A rueful smile spread on his face. "What might one call you?" "Louis, my dear." He pulled me to the middle of the floor. Everyone was staring. I didn't like the extra attention. Louis pulled me close to him almost as if he was relishing in the fact that I was here.

I'm not going to lie. It creeped me out how I knew he was taking in my sent. The song finished. I let him escort me off of the dance floor. "Excuse me Claudia for a moment. I must relive myself." With a small smile he left, not before he planted a kiss on my forehead. I giggled a little. Something -or more like someone- bumped into me, almost knocking me over. I steadied myself before I glared at the bimbo who made me trip. It was Nina! She was lying on the ground. Her body and eyes were too dead. I went to check her pulse but my hand was put in some sticky red thick liquid. I shook her. "Nina! Wake up! Nina please? Stop messing around, it's not funny." I shook her harder, panic settling in. My stomach had a pit in it. Instincts told me she wasn't going to wake up. The tears poured from my eyes as I sobbed. Other than Morghan this was my best friend. I shook her one more time. "Nina, come back."

~Louis' P.O.V.~

I heard the sobs from the alley behind the party venue. I finished my meal and went back in to my sweet Claudia. She was sunken to the ground. Everyone around was smiling and commenting on the girls' acting. "Someone please call 911." Her voice was filled with so much despair. I told someone to and I held my hand out to my distraught Claudia. She didn't notice me at first until I picked her up. She clung to me, just like so many years ago. "Please help me." the voice was so innocent and raw. I nodded. The police came and took the body. they had also found my meal in the alley. I did not drink from Nina. Another one of my kind was here, sending a signal.

Once the police were done with their questioning, I had saw that Claudia had found the other woman she had came with. Her eyes found mine. She walked over to me. her face was unsure. "Louis, I wanted to thank you for helping me." I took her hand into mine. "It was nothing." She was fragile, just as she looked many years ago. This was not the same Claudia, but she has the same essence and I see the same look in her eyes. I needed to be close to her. "Spend the night with me. I will show you many things you have never seen before, Claudia." She nodded after being in deep thought. "Can we at least change out of these bloody costumes?" I held my arm out for her to take, which she did and I used my other hand to keep her hand on my arm. "Of course, dear." We started our evening stroll, and I couldn't help to think of the little girl who was by my side at one time.
