"Hello beautiful." His yellow damaged teeth smiled at me.
I slammed close the door but his reaction was faster than mines. He forcefully pushed it back open sending my to the floor.
"How did you find me? " I crawled back away from him as he grew closer to me.
The sound of Zanilia fled through the apartment. I held her close to me quieting down the cries.
"And who's this little angel?" The thumping of his heavy boots draw nearer and nearer.
"You stay away from me." I snarled under my breath clutching onto my baby.
He titled his head to the side pursing his lips together. His dark eyes pierced onto the face of Zanilia. I knew what he was thinking. I saw it coming. I saw it too.
"Is that my child?" A cunning smiled played on his broken lips.

"No, no she's not." I held onto her as tight as I could.
His broad shoulders trembled while he chuckled. He took a step closer but I took a step back causing him to stop in his tracks.
"Let me see her."
"No."
"You're stubborn aren't ya, give me the bloody child!" He slammed his hand into the wall scaring Zanilia.
"It's okay, it's okay. " I shooed her calming her cries. Before I knew it I felt fingers ding into my scalp making me cry out in pain.
"Give. Her. "
"I rather be dead than let you touch my child."
"That can be arranged." The next thing I knew she was ripped out of my hands and a heavy blow came into contact with my face making me stumble back.
I can feel a substance running down my face. My face was aching and numb.
"Your mummy is a bad girl." I heard him telling her.
"Give me my baby! " I screamed.
"Shut up! " He threw the vase at me. "She's my child too and I want to hold her"
Blood was no longer running down my face, it was accompanied by tears. He gently placed her on the floor and approach me yanking my face up to his.
"This is not the last time you're going to hear from me. " And with that he left.
I crawled to Zanilia and cried, cried as memories flooded back. Memories I thought I would have forgotten..
