Chapter 8: My Life - With Friends Or With Family?

*1 month later*

It is three days until thanksgiving and I have been told to by him and her to go with them to a family gathering for that day.I wanted to tell Jeff and Jenny that I can't go to the thanksgiving feast we were going to have because their parents were coming back for it and some of there relatives who I know.Sharon would be mad because she told me her parents invited me to have dinner with them.

I was getting angry with myself but I had to go with them or he would beat me up. I'm doing this because Cathrine actually wrote a letter to me if she were to die and she asked me to listen to both of them and I will do that for her.

So , here I am walking to school figuring out a way to tell them about this. It will be fine I thought. I walked in and sat in my seat.I saw Jeff walk in and went to his seat."Hey Jeff." I said."Yeah."

"It's about the thanksgiving thing and I can't be there."

"Why?"

"They told me to go with them to one."

"Oh, and you know why too."

"I see, I'll everyone then."

"Okay , sorry though."

"It's fine."

Then I saw Sharon walk in and take her seat next to me. I sighed, how am I supposed to tell her, I thought.

"Hey Sharon, I need to tell you something." I said.

"Yeah?" She said back.

"I can't go to you know."

"Why not?"

"Because my parents told me to go with them."

"Okay I understand." Well that's weird I thought she would get angry or something. Class then started.

*2 hours 30 minutes later*

I was getting up after getting the bag from Jeff and was heading to eat lunch. I was hungry because I skipped breakfast again. I started eating and left to go study after finishing. While I was in the library studying I heard Ethan and someone talking.

This would be considered eavesdropping but this is a library and they could of whispered. I was listen carefully until I heard them saying my name.So I'm part of this thing they have for me. I'll remember this just in case something weird would happen.

I soon left after because class was about to begin.

*2 hours later*

I started walking home, I can't believe it's so cold out here, I thought, I should of brought a jacket. Whatever, what's in the past is in the past and I started running since I was so cold. I got to Jeff's after a while since it was a little farther then my home.

I got in and than started doing my homework to get it over with. After that I started studying. I later heard someone come in. I saw Jenny, she told me Jeff went out with friends. I continued studying and she went into the kitchen to get something to eat .

She later came and into the room to start her homework, lately she has been doing her homework before she has even gotten home. So this is a change of pace. I got bored and went to the kitchen to eat something too but found nothing.

I got a call from someone, who was Nate when I picked up.

"Hello." I said.

"Hey Andrew." He said.

"So, what's up?"

"I just wanted to thank you for helping before."

"It was no problem, plus Jeff also helped."

"But he told me you thought of the plan."

"It wasn't necessarily a plan."

"But thank you."

"Yeah, you're welcome."

"I need to ask you something."

"Yeah what is it?"

"Are you dating Sharon Evermore?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Oh, I just wanted to know that's all."

"Oh, okay."

"Well bye."

"Okay, bye."

I hung up and keep looking around until I found a cabinet with bags of chips in it.I decided it was better than nothing.I got another call from Jeff.

"Hello." I said.

"Hey Andrew are you home?"

"Yeah, why?"

"I need you to go to my room to get my phone because I forgot it."

"Okay." I went up the stairs to his room and found his phone in a drawer, why did he forget this?

"Do you have it?"

"Yeah, now what?

"Check my email to see if there is a file sent to me." I checked and found one.

"I found it."

"Great, I thought I would lose that."

"What is it?"

"It"s a file for a song."

"You know you could've checked it when you got home."

"Yeah and?"

"Whatever."

I hung up and sat in his chair. I looked at his wall clock and saw that it has been 4 hours since I got here. I went down the stairs and heard Jenny working in the kitchen because I didn't see her anywhere else.

I went back into the living room and cleaned up my stuff and started reading my book. Then Jenny told me that dinner was ready. I went to the dining room and prepared to eat but waited for Jenny and then started eating.

After that Jeff came back, I took a shower and went to sleep.

*2 days later*

I walked to my home where they are and went into their car with them. We arrived after a half an hour. It was my Uncle Fred's

*4 hours later*

It was time to leave and I was glad because I didn't want to be there because every time i'm around them I hear them talk about how it's my fault that Catherine died. It was annoying and I was tired.

When we got back I left and went to Jeff's, where I saw people leaving. I went in to see Jeff and Jenny saying bye to their parents. I went into the living room and waited until everyone left but there parents went to me and hugged me, it seems they miss me.

"Andrew it's been long." Mr.Turner said.

"Yeah very long."I said.

"How are you doing ?"

"I'm fine, how about you?"

"I'm fine too."

"We'll be going then."

"Okay, bye see you."

"Thank you for staying with them."

"You're welcome."

"Bye."

"Yeah, bye."

Then I left and I fell asleep.
