Chapter Two♦

::Carter's p.o.v::

I flashed a movie star smile and gave him a hug, feeling the sudden urge to take a shower. No he didn't stink or look bad. He smelt pretty good and he dressed with swag.

Problem was his personality reeked. You see, Daniel and I went out when I was back in my old school. He was a pretty good boyfriend. He spoiled me with gifts and treated me like a princess.

But that was before the night he came over to "study". He wanted to have sex but I wasn't ready to go to such extents for a guy that I'm not sure I'm ready to give my innocence to. He got pissed and threw a huge fit. My dad wasn't home to kick him out and he fought me until I was layed out on my bed. He raped me and said if I told anyone, he would kill me. I've never told anyone.

"DIGGY!"

Tiana ran and jumped on him, wrapping her legs around his waist. He pecked her and walked her over to me with one arm holding her. "How have you been, Carter?" He asked, setting Tiana down. "Fine" I lied. He smiled and kissed Tiana again. "You guys are a thing?" I asked. He looked up from kissing her and nodded. I felt bad for Tiana if she didn't want to have sex with him.

"My baby boy for seven months" she said, hugging him. She seemed so happy so I couldn't help but smile. "You guys are a cute couple" I said.

I looked over at Chresanto to see him opening arms to a running girl.

She had back-length brown straight hair with dirty-blonde high lights. I guess to match Chres. She was light skinned and had greenish-hazel eyes. She was beautiful and it got me a little jealous.

"Hey baby" she said, kissing him long and hard. "Hey Sanai" he said, pulling away. I distracted myself with shoes because I did not want to see them mooch off in front of me. "Don't be rude, Carter. Go say hi" Tiana said.

I rolled my eyes and trudged to go meet her. She saw me and gave me a funny look. "I'm Carter" I said, holding out my hand. She sneered at my hand, "Ew. And I know I look like one, but I'm not the queen so no need to shake my hand" she said, flipping her hand. And I'm the rude one?

"Sorry for being polite" I said. Chres smiled at me, "Someone's sassy".

I chuckled and walked over to the girls. They were with the guys. "Your the only single one, Carter" Maya pointed out. "I know..."

"We need to get you a guy"

I looked back at Chres who was occupied with his little bundle of joy. "Let's see if we can find some cute boys in footlocker" she said, pulling me out of journeys and two stores down.

We walked into Footlocker and one guy caught my eye. He looked at least 19. "He's cute" Maya said pointing at the guy I was checking out. She pushed me slightly, "Go say hi".

I shyly walked over to him. He smiled and licked his lips. "Hi".

"Hey Carter"

I furrowed my eyebrows. "How do you know me?".

"You went to Tanger High?" He said. I shook my head yeah but I never saw him. "I'm Xavier. The guy in science who pisses Mr. Sanders off all the time" he explained. "Oh! Xavier, hey" I said, giving him a quick hug. "Your looking cute" he said.

I giggled, "Ain't too bad yourself boo". He smiled and leaned closer to me. "Did you come to buy shoes or check me out?" He said. I smirked, "Maybe both or maybe the second choice" I said. He smiled and leaned off the counter. "Let me take you out? Friday?" He asked. "Deal" I said, walking back at Maya. "So?"

"I got a date for Friday" I said. She shrieked and we walked back to the gang who where now outside of Journeys.

"Where were you guys?" Destiny asked. "We just got Carter a date" Maya said.
