My best friend was now my sister, I have a boyfriend, and Dan and Phil are our parents. We took different taxis to the house. I talked to Dan about what happened while we were at the orphanage.
"Are you OK?" Dan asked.
"Yeah. I just can't do this. I can't live without him." I said. I stoped crying. My makup was running and Dan handed me a tissue from his pocket. I pujt makeup remover on it and grabbed my mirror. I rubbed off the running mascara and Dan helped me reapply my concealer and foundation. I did the rest.
"Dad?" I said.
"Yes Courtney?" Dan said.
"Why did you pick me and Delighla? Out of 30 girls you chose us. Why?" I asked
"You two are beautiful, young woman. You deserve a better life. I needed to get you two out of that hell-hole. Sorry." Dan said. "I curse a lot so I will try to stop but it will be hard to do."
"It's fine Dan. I watch your videos. I know you curse a lot. So phan is real?" I said.
"Yes, Princess. Phan is real." He said.
"Don't call me princess please. I was reading fanfiction the other day and it got weird and you kept on calling Phil princess." I said.
"OK. No more reading that weird stuff about us. You can read the fluff but you can't read that weird stuff. Also you can curse but not a lot." Dan said, laying down the rules. "Actually I'll just give you a list. Here." He pulled out a piece of paper. "You will be homeschooled because me and Phil were bullied in school. We don't want you being bullied." I read the paper.

No barging in our room
Do what you are told. Or not. We don't care

All feminine products stay in your room (have Phil take you to the store to get that stuff.)

"The last one is thorough. I can deal with the fourth, seventh, and ninth ones. I like getting drunk kind of. It's funny. I am hilarious when I am drunk." I said.
"I get mad when I'm drunk. Watch out. Lock your doors if I get drunk. The second one, I don't care, Phil does. I'll make sure I'm drunk when guys come over so you both can stay in your room. Remember what I said about locking the door. That last one was implemented because of Delighla getting pregnant." Dan said.
"Oh don't worry. She is a lesbian now. After what happened she didn't want to have kids again." I said.
