Other Girl’s Life
I woke up early in the morning to make the food for the pack. I was in my uniform while I was making breakfast.
I dropped an egg and quickly picked up before anyone sees that I dropped it. I was to slow because the yelling started.
“Jessie, you know what a shame it is that I have you as a sister,” my brother Zack said. He is one of the best friends of the soon to be alpha.
“Sorry it won’t happen again,” I whispered.
“It better not happen again. Now clean it up and I hope you didn’t wake up the rest of the pack,” he said leaving me alone. I cleaned the rest of the egg that was scattered.
“Maybe if you lower your voice the pack won’t wake up,” I said after a few seconds he left. I finished breakfast and stole a few bites. I prepared the table and left before anyone saw me.
“Stupid pack, I wish I could just leave and never come back again,” I said kicking a rock, “I wish I turn eighteen and I can find my mate.”
I have been waiting for my eighteen birthday to be taken away from my misery. A limo passed and I knew it was Ella.
I wish I were she. She is so perfect. She is dating the soon to be alpha. Now that I think about it, he was with another girl last night.
I debated with myself if I should tell her but disagreed it is her life after all.
I saw as Luke opened the door and Ella beamed at him like every morning. I wonder what she does this early in the morning.
I was about to call her when she went inside. The limo was waiting and another fancy car parked in the parking lot.
“Hey you,” the limo guy said. I looked around and pointed at me. He nodded in agreement. I slowly walked towards him.
“Yes?”
“What is your name? I always see you walking down here every morning,” he said leaning on his car.
“My name is Jessie?” I said, “You notice me?”
“Why not? you are always walking there. However, you always look tired and mad. I am sorry for being rude and not introducing myself. My name is Fred. I am Ella’s driver,” he said expanding his hand.
I shook it and smiled at him. First time someone is being nice to me.
“Well I better get going I have homework to do. It was nice meeting you Fred,” I said leaving him and running inside the school.
“That was just odd,” I said to myself. I mean who wants to talk to the skinny ugly girl. I stood there until I heard footsteps. I hid behind the trash.
“Good but I have this feeling that today is going to be a bad day,” Ella said. Luke was walking next to her listen and they entered the classroom. Luke looked my direction and entered.
My heart was beating wild. If she caught me she would of told Chris and I would be yelled at and taking away food and more clean chores.
No, I should leave know outside to the tree. I walked outside and Fred was talking in the phone. Moments later Ella came out with papers and books. She handed them to Fred, who was no longer on his phone.
As he left, she stood there thinking.
"What should I do for," She said looked down her watch, “the next thirty-eight minutes."
She twirled the keys on her perfect fingers and suddenly to her car. She ran to the car and got in.
"Where are you going Lady Ella?" Luke yelled as she was getting in. I wonder what he has to do with Ella. Is she cheating on Chris with Luke?
"Just going for a little ride," she said before slamming the car shut, "no longer then ten minutes."
I watched as she left in her fancy car.
I was still processing that she was so ordinary. She wore the uniform like it is supposed to not like a whore.
“You know starring is not considered respectful nor it is it to be hiding behind the trash can,” Luke said coming out of nowhere. I jumped and hid behind my book.
“Sorry it won’t happen again,” I said out of habit. I waited for him to leave but he did not.
“You shouldn’t be here. I am going to be yelled at that the bad ass Luke is talking to me,” I said enough for him to hear.
“Do you want me to leave,” he asked. It stun me that he asked me that. Did I want him to leave? Yes, he was scaring me and making me uncomfortable.
“Yes.”
“Okay then, well see you around Jessie,” he said. He left just in time. People were starting to arrive. My brother was with his flock of hoes. Ella’s best friend came out and waited. Then Ella came in. she drifted and parked in reverse.
“I wish I could do that,” I said. She came out and checked the other car. I did not see am damage. She was smiling and she looked classy.
I saw as Chris’s car came in and I knew who was inside of the car. I hid in my book not wanting to see the fight. I even plugged in my headphones to block all the noise.
I am so distracted today. I cannot even start my book. Maybe it has to do with my birthday coming soon. It is in the next two days but nobody cares because it will be Ella’s birthday also.
