"Ok I'm fine now," he sighed. His voice didn't seem to mean it. He looked at me while his puffy red eyes. He sat up and took a deep breath. He started the car up and turned around. "Do we have money to drive across the country," I asked. He pointed to his bag at my feet. I picked it up suspiciously and opened it. Green from bottom to top is all I saw.
"Blake where did you get this?" "That's the money I owe Marty." "Marty? The drug guy?" "Can you please stop talking about it," he screamed at me. I backed down and dropped the bag. "Maria just go back to sleep, there's a pillow in the back." I stretched my arm to get my favorite pillow from his house. It was a black, square, plump pillow he got when we were 6.
I set it on the window and shut my eyes. I don't wanna think about this. Running away with Blake is enough, no matter what the reason. I crossed my fingers and thought about Blake. Would we have a future together? Would we be a fairytale ending or a horror movie? Would I die or would he? I squeezed my eyes tighter to prevent the tears forming in my eyes from falling. "Why can't we be 8 again," I whispered. That seemed to hit him where it hurts. His chest got big and he just shrugged.
I slept for what felt like days and woke up to a starry sky. I was no longer in the front seat of his truck. I was in Blake's tailgate with a blanket and my favorite pillow. Another thing I noticed is that we weren't moving. I looked over and saw Blake staring blankly at me. "Your so beautiful," he whispered.
I turned so pink I think I started to glow and he smiled. I sat up as he rose. "Come with me," he said sticking out his hand for me. I slowly grabbed it because he likes to play tricks on me, especially to lighten the mood. We jumped out of the back and headed into the woods. I got slapped in the face by some branches as we tried to avoid them. Finally we made it to a perfect circle opening. He pulled me closer to him and kept his hands on my hips. I stared into his eyes, that were lit by the moonlight. "Wanna try that kiss again?" I nodded and stood on my tippy toes. He snicked and leaned down.
When our lips met we actually shocked each other. I felt his gorgeous smile as the kiss went on. When pulled away it seemed like the kiss lasted an eternity. He looked down in my eyes and whispered," You really are beautiful and I really do love you. Will you run away with me?" I smiled and kissed him again, clenching his hair. "Yes Blake, I love you too." It was perfect until we had to leave. My fairytale ending is starting to begin.
