It was a beautiful morning in the kingdom of Arendelle. The King and Queen were busy managing their kingdom. It was just a regular day for them, though. Looking after their kids, managing taxes, welcoming people from foreign kingdoms. All that work, and they still had time to play with their young one and focus on the arrival of the other.
"Mommy! Where are you?" the voice of a little frail princess Elsa shrieked excitedly from across the hall. The little darling ran through the red velvet carpets, passing the hall, which was with portraits of the royal family.
"I'm in the dining room, Elsa..." the Queen replied loudly, as she fiddled with the chairs, tables, and silverware in the room.
Princess Elsa walked into the dining room and stopped in her steps, tilting her head to the side, asking, "Mommy, what are you doing?"
The Queen smiled at her daughter's question. "We're having guests, sweetheart." She said as she gently pulled her daughter's chin, making it tilt up meeting her own eyes.
The little princess smiled in excitement and clapped her hands loudly. She began jumping up and down, twirling around, and giggling at her mother's words. The castle had never been visited by anyone before, and this was the first time Elsa would have gotten a glimpse of what real friends were like. Suddenly, there was a light knock at the door.
"Darling, the Overlands are here," the King opened the big dining room doors with a smile.
"Hey there, kiddo!" the King playfully smiled as he picked Elsa up and twirled her around in the air."Daddy, stop it!" Elsa shrieked in laughter.
"Oh, you want me to stop is it? Well, I won't!" the King began to stop twirling her and began tickling her.
Elsa's laughter filled the dining room and probably the halls. The Queen rolled her eyes at her husband's childishness before saying, "Well, that's enough, Aggnar... We are having company for goodness sakes and we really don't want them seeing this room frozen as ice, do we?" The etiquette in her voice proved she was beginning to sound serious. The King stopped and put Elsa on the ground. They both frowned in sync, "Yes ma'am."
"Presenting the Royal Family from Droibeth! Their majesties, King Adalbert and Queen Irina Overland. And their royal highnesses, Prince Jackson and Princess Allison Overland," the steward boomed out.
Jackson Overland was slender and tall for a ten year old. He was quite proper for a young prince, being dressed in a white-collar shirt under a navy blue buttoned coat. His brunette hair had bangs that fell right on his forehead, making him look handsome for a boy his age. His light skin glimmered in the lights of the dining room. He had a very calm and cool face expression put on. His light pink lush lips curled up, making him look cooler than the second.
Elsa stood there frozen in Prince Jackson's glimmering presence. The seven year old was just dressed in her favorite light blue dress with shiny white diamond-like ornaments. Her light blonde hair was braided into a short waterfall braid and a steel blue hair band was laid across her hair. She stared at the young prince, crossing her fingers, hoping that her powers wouldn't go berserk.
The Droibeth Royal Family walked into the dining room with grace and poise. The Overlands sat at the big rectangular dining table. Both King Adalbert and King Aggnar sat at both tips of the table, making them face each other. The Queens sat across each other, while Elsa, Jackson, and Allison sat beside their mothers. As the appetizers came out, the conversations between both households had already bloomed. Both the kings and queens were talking about politics, economics, and lots of other thing we common folk would never understand.
"Well, Elsa, how old might you be now?" Queen Irina suddenly asked.
"I'm going to be 7 this year, Your Highness," Elsa replied with a smile.
