I walk into school, my feels for the day depleted just by seeing him on the bus. What would he do to embarrass me... oh god...
I walk to my locker and threw my books in. I took out my phone and headed to the gym for assembly. And announcements.
~
I took a seat in the gym and looked around. It looked exactly the same. No changes to the school. Will took a seat next to me and gave me a big hug, squeezing the life out of me.
"Hey girl what's up?" I asked her. Yep, her. Her surname is Wellington. And her name's Ashley. She hates it apparently. And she goes by Will. Weird friends and people are the best. My best friend... is weird, dumb, crazy and the best. I sound kinda emo.
"Nothing. What are we doing here?"she pauses a second and continues on another topic," Oh! There's a new kid and he's hella hot! So I heard. Wait. You look exactly the same! I..." she changes a topic real quick. I keep her off my mind and look around for the new boy.
It wasn't hard to find him. He strode in like the king and the peasants that surrounded him consisted of barbies and jocks. Typically too cliché.
The gym became silent as the principal walked in. He's a grumpy and ruthless one.
"Today, we have a new kid, Chaste Kingston. Chaste please make your presence known." Mr Furlton said.
He stood of and tipped his hat to the school. Which an applause sounded to. Good god. Why would anyone like him. Why did I even... argh!
"That's not all. Tomorrow is the quill day. Remember to dress appropriately despite the dress code. Lessons will only be the last period. The beginning of the day would start with a banquet from fantasy world, our theme harry potter. And a carnival. A letter on what the itinerary would be tomorrow would be given out together with your schedule. Please move to your home rooms now in an orderly manner. You are dismissed." He said, the strict look never leaving his face as he blurted his speech.
The second he left, the gym erupted into a loud chatter as everyone talked about what they would wear tomorrow.
"What are you wearing tomorrow?" Will asked me.
"I'm not sure. You?" I asked her.
"I think I'll dress as Janis Ian from Mean girls. C'mon. Let's get to homeroom."
~
Schedules were given out and briefings for tomorrow we're blurted at us. Before we had lunch break.
I made my way to the cafeteria, on the way to meet Will. When I was grabbed by the hand and stuffed into the Janitors closet. Which was tiny. And was really really dusty.
"Hey. Um don't scream!" Chaste said right as I opened my mouth. "Tomorrow thingy... the quill? I need help. I still don't get it. Well I wasn't listening in class so..."
"So ask all your new friends. I have to find Will." I dismissed him with a wave of my hand, making my way to out the closet.
He slammed the door shut, barely missing my fingers.
"That's the thing. I only want to ask you." He whispered, leaving butterfly kisses down my jaw. I was in no mood for this. And I usually wasn't like this. As in like with him at the party.
"I can explain later. I'll text you. And stop thinking about the party whatever happened will never happen again. You're making me feel uncomfortable. I'm not usually that Erm... open. That was my first Erm time being so open."
"That's nice." He smirked and winked at my sauntering away, making no sense at all.
When I entered the cafeteria, it was like I didn't exist. He never turned my way. Well, I lied.
I was the most comfortable with him than with my bestie, Will.
