I woke up, still tired after the long night. Stretching I looked out the window next to my bed as the sun was just barely rising, giving the sky a beautiful pink and red hue. I looked of to my other side to check the time. I must have missed my alarm because it was 6:25, but I wasn't late. My bus got to the bus stop around 7:40 so I had time.
I got out of bed and moped into the kitchen. I checked the fridge then the pantry then the fridge again. "Nope, still nothing that sounds good". I whispered to myself. I sighed then went back to my room to pick out an outfit for the day. I decided on a pair of leggings, a legend of Zelda shirt, and a beanie for while I was outside. I took my clothes to the bathroom and set them on the bathroom counter. I looked in the mirror and was shocked at how bad I looked. My hair was all frizzy, i had drool lines on my cheek, I was just a mess. I hurried into the shower.
After the shower I got dressed, washed my face, brushed my hair and teeth. Then I headed into my room to make sure I didn't miss any homework last night. History, done. Math, done. Writing, done. Reading, crap. I forgot to do my reading! The summary is due first period! Crap crap. Oh man. I had to get to the bus stop, it was 7:30 it took about 6 mins to get there, by car. But I can't drive soooo. I better start running. I grabbed my backpack and ran out the door, making sure not to let my little dog Max out.
I started off fast walking, passing a guy from school's house. His name is Austin, he and I play on my phone every day on the bus because he sits next to me. Then I passed Brody's house, he's a sixth grader who watched Austin play. On the same road as the bus stop I walked past Marlins house, He is an eighth grader who is really funny.
I almost missed the bus but I jumped in the door just before it closed. I looked back for half a second hopping I didn't forget anything. Then made my way to my seat. Austin was standing so I could sit next to the window, as I always do. I sat down and got out my phone, handed it to Austin and just looked out the window. The sky was red as the sun was rising, it seemed more beautiful today, than it has ever seemed to me before.
