After work I decided to call it a night and just go home. When I entered I looked at the big pile of clothes that needed to be freshly washed. 'ugh so much work to do' I dug into my clean pile and picked out a NYU crewneck and some plain skinny sweats. I quickly put them on and grabbed my basket of dirty clothes and headed into the elevator to the washing until downstairs. If you don't know this place you could get lost. If it wasn't for my observation skills, that's exactly what would've happened. I walked to the nearest washer and dumped my laundry in. When I closed my washer I was surprised to see someone there as well, looking right at me.
It was a man, a handsome one. Very well built, dark hair, stubble, wearing a brown unbuttoned v neck and sweats as well. I guess he saw how observant I was and in an awkward tone said hi.
"hi." I said back.
He turned the row of washers and stood in front of me at the end of the row.
"Are you new? I would've definitely remembered a face like yours." he said raising a brow slightly.
With that response I could feel my cheeks begin to bleed pink. I couldn't help but smile.
"Oh heh, yes I just moved here yesterday actually." I replied trying not to look him directly in the eye.
"hmm, I see" he said walking closer. He then was one washer ahead of me and swiftly leaned against it. "Well beautiful lady, can I get your name?" He said so confident I could feel it.
"Angelene, yours?"
"Angel Aguilar, but Angelene, hmm" he paused then made a swift quick movement up to a tall stance the started to the door.
"I'll have to keep that in my back pocket." then left. woah.
Today was Wednesday and for some odd reason was my favorite day of the week. This morning was filled with a warm shower and an extensive 12 minutes of outfit picking. I had a sudden overwhelming feeling to look my best.. hmm. Finally I managed to pick out my grey tightish work pants that flared at the bottoms, a white ruffled short sleeve, and some simple white stilettos. I messily pinned my hair into a bun then I was out.
*knocks* "What do you have for me today?" I asked trying to hide my amusement.
Without even looking up from his phone, he blandly said "There's a pile of papers needed to be checked," then he looked up at the clock quickly,"You're 8 minutes late, if you're late again you're fired, got it? Good," then ended the conversation just like that.
What? I really don't get it! Without any protest I walked out his office to my workstation and began my work. What happened? Did I do something? He seemed so.. disinterested? Maybe he's just having a bad day.
About an hour and a half later, upon turning in my work into his box, I vaguely saw what seemed to be a girl quickly walking into his office? She didn't look like she had any business here, she was wearing shorts and a short shirt. Quietly observing from my station she didn't come out until around an hour later. Her hair a little messier, and he stood at his door watching her leave his his index finger indenting his chin. Who was that girl? Suddenly I felt my heart fall. A sudden sadness flooded my soul, but within seconds it was replaced by anger. How can he be so interested and flirtatious one minute and the next in his his office with other girls. Who does he think he is.
The end of my "shift" could not have came any faster. On my way out Justin popped out his office to say to be on time tomorrow, then reverted back into his office. Ugh! The nerve.
Work was profoundly busy today. After a tiring but fun shift I drove straight "home". Upon my arrival of walking into the lobby waiting for the elevator, I felt eyes watching me. Turing I saw Angel staring at me from behind. I put one hand on my hip.
"It's you again" I said playfully.
He walked slowly towards me and opened his arms. "Tis' I" he replied.
The elevator opened and I walked in, as did he. "Going up?" he asked. I nodded and pressed the 3rd floor, and he pressed the 4th floor.
When approaching my floor, he stood in front of the doors.
"I have a proposition for you." he said.
"which is?" I asked suddenly interested.
He crossed his arms and leaned against the doors. Must be his signature move.
"For a date, with me, tomorrow night. What do you say?" He waited almost anticipated.
This took me by surprise, I barley know this man and he wants to take me out. Suddenly a wave of "what the heck" took over and out my answer came.
"Sure."
He smiled and let me go. "See you tomorrow night, beautiful." and the doors closed.
I quickly ran into my loft and FaceTimed Rosemary and Adeline to fill them in on the deets.
"Justin Bieber?!" Rosemary gasped, "He's such a god!"
"He's, hmph." I breathed out.
He was certainly something.
