Justin is a busy man for a part time businessman.
"I have a meeting at 3 and it is now 1:20 and I need this stack of file audited and noted by 2:30 for inspection." He handed me a small pile of papers then continued on. "Lunch is at 2:00 so can you go downstairs and get me a plain turkey sub from the deli, just charge it to my account. And thats all."
He looked up from his phone and gave me a reassuring nod then walked back into his office. I only work from 8:20 to 5:30 then I have another part-time job working at my mother's friends boutique on 5th ave. I have a busy schedule here, but this work is just the beginning of it.
At 4:25 I began to get ready to leave. Before leaving I check in with Justin.
"Is there anything else you need Mr. Bieber?" i asked standing at the doorway.
He looked up then looked at the clock,"Oh right it's time for you to go," he got up and joined me at the doorway, "Let me walk you out." he said slyly.
On the few steps to the elevator he pressed the button and waited.
"How was it?" he asked.
"Not that bad" I said matter-of-factly. The elevator came up and I walked in.
"good because now all you need are 2 more months and you're done." he said. Wow, two months of working for the most famous boy alive. Doesn't really matter he's not all that. When I walked into the elevator I took a glance at him. He wore a navy opened suit with a black tie that suited him very nicely.
Before the elevator doors closed he quickly but softly added, "But please, call me Justin,"
On the drive home to change my head was swarming with so many feelings and questions. Before I got too overwhelmed I shook it off and pulled into my complex. I went up to my loft and changed into a more casual attire for work, which started at 5. I swapped the dress for black jeans and the heels for thighs highs. I put on a simple Brandy stripped Tee and walked back downstairs to drive to work.
When I got there, two workers stood before me. A Blonde with smoky eyes and a light-skinned African American boy, they were both around my age. The blonde spoke first.
"Are you our new part-time?" she asked while inspecting me.
"Yes." I replied trying to make a good impression.
They both looked at each other then looked at me. Then the blonde grabbed what seemed to be a name tag and walked over to hand it to me.
"Well, let's get you started." she said enthusiastically.
About 2 hours in I learned the basics of them. The blonde's name was Sindy Mason and boy's was Graham Williams, both 22, full-times. Sindy was from Washington and came to New York in hopes of broadcasting her band "Voodoo Barbies". Graham was an honor student at Columbia, so advanced he was in his last year of bachelor's. We both clicked instantly.
The boutique was about the size of a regular sized Forever 21 but with much better taste of merchandise. My job was simply to either man the register or be out on the floor. The whole shift I thought of my internship, most importantly Justin. What's going to happen. He seemed interested, but why would he? I guess we'll have to find out.
