The Daughter of Odin Daughter of Destiny
11/28/15
The sun rose high above Asgard, the bright rays glistened and sparkled upon the waters that surrounded the Great Palace that made the surface of the water seem like one large many faceted Diamond. This day would bring a great treasure to Asgard a precious daughter but only the Old Father knew how many lives this child's life force would touch.
It was the hot summer day and there was a light breeze that carried the sweet scent of Jazmine into the chambers of the Queen of Asgard. It both soothed and inspired the Queen. She had finally decided on her childs name. She had known from conception that she had conceived a girl.
There are no words that a mother can say that can truly express what the day of birth means to her. The brief pain of becomes a distant memory in the face of the memories filled with Love and joy to come. Nothing can compare to the birth of a beloved son except the birth a daughter, a miracle birth. The bond created during that brief period of creation makes a link between mother and child that is unbreakable.
Though inside the birth chamber all activity ceased as if everyone was holding their breaths, but inside the birthing chamber there were maids running here and there. The guards outside were on high alert as if the most precious thing on Asgard lay just beyond the doors they guarded.
The queen lay restless in her bed moaning softly with the pains that ravaged her body into nearly unbarable pain. She endured all of this with a smile on her lips and tears in her eyes for the day grew nearer that her child would leave her site. In her womb her child was warm and save and she could protect her with her magic. Now the child would be exposed to others and sometimes out of her sit.
Freyda grew fearful and worked with every pain to stop time itself, to hold onto the precious moments she had remaining with her child safely in her womb. A voice in her head spoke, "She can't stay in there forever. You've already delayed this birth for far to long."
Down the hall two small children sitting on a bench surrounded by their guards and nurse maids looked up. One of them a strong looking blonde boy jumped off the bench with clenched fists. Ready he thougt to do battle with what ever force it was the brought such pain to his mother.
The other a dark hair young boy looked at his brother with eyes that knew more then he let on. An intelligence that seemed beyond his years, he knew what was happening and couldn't to greet his new baby sister. Perhaps she would be more like him. The dark haired boy looked at his brother and shook his head, maybe someone to whom he could relate to. His love for his baby sister unknowingly was Unconditional. He knew that his brother Thor did not think that same way.
Foot falls came at the two boys, fast and loud. Father was coming. The dark haired boy jumped off the bench to stand beside his brother Thor. Odin and his guards stopped before the boys.
Loki spoke first, "Can we go see the baby father? I so want to meet my baby sister," Loki spoke with sincerity and genuine love in his eyes.
Odin knelt down before his youngest son and placed a hand upon his shoulder. "Soon my son, but we must wait just a little while longer. "
Thor pulled out a dagger from his belt," but father she is hurting mother. Can't we... "
"No," Odin spoke. "She is not hurting your mother, Freyda is much stronger than you think she is." Odin reached over the took the dagger from Thor and handed it to one of his guards. "There Is no call to have use of this my son." Odin stood up and looked over his shoulder at one of his guards. " Stay here with them," he said in a low tone. He turned again to his son's and said, "Wait her just a little while longer, I will send for you when it is time to visit with your sister."
